Video: Riding in the Horn's Shadow - Chasing Trail Ep. 24

There are places in this world that truly take your breath away. Come out of the train that takes you into Zermatt, look up and to the right, and this is what happens. If you thought you knew sheer beauty in the form of mountains, blue sky and fresh air – think again.

We sent Andrew Neethling, a South African native deep into the Swiss Alps to give him an experience he’d never dreamt of having. Normally these stories are full of, well, stories. But for this episode of “Chasing Trail,” we decided to let the photos, and Andrew’s riding do the talking.

If you’ve been to Zermatt, you know what we’re talking about. If you haven’t been – book your ticket ASAP – it’s the place to be.

This is what happens Larry. This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps.

This place is one of the most epic in the alps for technical enduro. I was there just 2 weeks ago for the Trail Love Festival and the continental EWS race. Next year it will hold the EWS final round and I can assure you that trails and views around Zermatt are truly unique. And yes you will spend more money then anywhere else in the alps but it's still a must location to visit. Don't forget the freshly opened flow trail, switzerlands longest one, that allows beginners and pros to have a big load of fun after a long day of riding tech stuff.

That place sucks. Do not come! Too expensive, lots of hikers, too high, descents are too long and generally just too epic

Its better to stay in Cervinia and go over to Zermatt. Three coffees in Italy cost the same as one in Switzerland when I was there last.

@WolfRidge08: that's going to be possible only if they'll finish building the cableway from Plateau Rosa (Italy) to the Klein Matterhorn (Switzerland) before next summer, which is unlikely
