 The horizontal lines of soil stratification layers in the first sunlit/shadows photo clearly shows the angle of the slope. Yikes!

 Without wanting to take anything away from this amazing bit of riding, strata isn't always perfectly horizontal, but if in this case it is, then yes yikes is probably an understatement!
