Andorra was host to the final round of the UCI World Cup series and riders were greeted with a sandy surprise! The Vallnord track consisting mostly of dust as it weaved it's way through the trees was to claim many a victim over the course of the weekend.
As always, we had ace snapper Duncan Philpott on the hill side to capture the action - check out our pick of the best below
(sorry about your camera gear Duncan! #dusty)Practice runs on Thursday were the first indications of just how loose the track was. Blowing up every berm and blasting through huge dust holes.
Matt Walker was back on the World Cup circuit after a month off the bike with a broken wrist. Matt was clearly loving the dry, dusty return and put down a great run in quali's for fifth place!
Thinking of the overall standings, Manon was playing it relatively safe and consistent all weekend. Fourth in both qualifying and her final run ensured enough points to retain second place overall.
Slugger was looking good all weekend and put in a solid effort to take 30th in Elite Men. Clearly enjoying the dry conditions before heading back to the UK for the winter months!
Disaster for Matt Simmonds during his race run ended his World Cup season on a down-note. One of the many victims of the beach-like sections that covered the track.
Another world cup comes to an end and it's been a helluva season! World Champs next week for Walker and Carpenter and the last BDS to round things off before we look to 2017.
