With the endorsement and judging of the Costa Rican Cycling Federation (FECOCI), the national downhill gains yet another star in the organization of this sport, which in recent years has raised the level of riders that it translates into good racers in the area, and now comes the most important national calendar event.
Costa Rica National Cup

A track designed and created by one of the best racers in the country, as it is Alvaro Hidalgo, the San Ramon community housed all the adrenaline that generates this sport, an event that had more than 4 years not going to this region, being the last time in the Berlin track back in 2008. The track has very fast sections, to berm corners that take much skills out the riders to sustain speed, this, since immediately after the section of berms is the first jump that has this track, to then get to a brutal lung-busting pedalling section to be reach a 3meter tall by 4meter long drop into a trail that leads into a old coffe plantation road equally fast and technical that will sustain some changes, specially in the jumps, bigger and longer as the speed here have being meassure to be between 35-45kmph.

That track is located on private property, so the training will be completely regulated under schedules and days, these will be:

Thursday and Friday starting from 11 am until 4 pm

Saturday and Sunday as from 8 am until 4 pm

It should be noted, that this track, the access for the return of the riders is suitable for any vehicle, however, there are 2 gates for entry, of these, the last gate will be completely closed for practice every Thursday and Friday so riders will have to walk 50meters to the top.

Currently Hidalgo is out of the country taking part in the Crankworx festival, then he will take the World Championship, once upon arrival, the machinery will go to work to rebuild the last part, the track has a total distance 1.2km, and estimated time of the winner will be around 1 minute 35 seconds, this because the trask is fast.
