Hello Pinkbike users,
I'm currently doing a photography project on a choice of my own. Being such a passionate rider, I wanted to document the passion behind BMXing and dirt jumping, the topic is progression vs injury, I want to present the fact that bmxing is a sport to be taken seriously, and not a form of transport for vandals creating havoc. I've currently shot all my photos, but I need to present my work in a suitable manor. I'm writing up a mock article in the similar form of Ride BMX UK, which will be sent to them as a portfolio of work.
I was wondering if a few could answer some quick question for me, as I'm running out of things to say.
Could you email me your answers at: Scottpattenden@live.co.uk
Cheers.
QUESTIONS:
Obviously BMXing is challenging & gruelling, do you consider it more of a hobby or a sport? Why?
Pain is a big part of the sport, how often does it occur in your case?
Can you put into words, that feeling you get once you’ve learnt a new trick?
What does progression mean to you?
Is the pain and struggle you endure worth it in order to progress on your bike?
Do you get alot of shit for riding your bike by the general public? Such as riding your bmx on the pavement etc?
