Sporting events and competitions, be them competitive or more participative, are one of the keys to the success of the Sea Otter concept, as they have always been in the United States at the Sea Otter Classic. The sports programme is as dynamic as ever this year with the addition of new events and new formats, so that what is on offer is as varied as possible with options for all tastes, both for participants and sponsors.

As we’ve said before, no matter if you’re an international star, a professional or an amateur who just wants to have fun and a good time in an incredible cycling environment such as the Sea Otter Europe Festival in the company of friends, family or club mates, everyone is welcome. The Eliminator, the Copa Catalana Internacional Biking Point/Super Cup Massi, the Scott Marathon Series UCI, the Gravel Race of Sea Otter Girona Costa Brava, the Ciclobrava, the MTB Classic, the E-bike Marathon by Ghost, the Criterium, the Kids’ Races, the Trial, the Mini DH sprint and much more are waiting for you at Sea Otter Europe.

DEMOBIKE:

Would you like to test ride your future bike? Then come to Sea Otter Europe's Demobike on 31 May and 1 and 2 June. The world's number one brands are waiting for you.

A preliminary list of top brands:

With more than two months to go before the event, 38 brands have already confirmed their presence at Demobike, so that all attendees can see first-hand how their products work.

No less than 11 of these brands are Sea Otter Europe newcomers: Anda Bike Street Stepper, Bergamont, Bird, Bombtrack, Finna Cycles, Megamo, Mondraker, Niner, Orbea, Rotor and Swift Carbon Drive.

This incredible list is rounded off by: Abus, Berria, BH, Bulls, Cannondale, Canyon, Cube, Focus, Haibike, Hope, KTM, Lapierre, Look, Peugeot Cycles, Ghost, Massi, Merida, MMR, Moustache, Riese and Mueller, Ritchey, Scott, Specialized, Sena, Titici, Trek and Whistle.

An extensive array of brands are waiting for you at Sea Otter Europe, so that you can try out the latest developments on the cycling market and choose your type of bike, your preferred test track and the brand you want to try out the most. It is a true paradise for cyclists, which is set to get bigger and better as the festival approaches.

Revamped Demobike circuits:

Demobike boasts routes prepared exclusively so that each type of bicycle can be tested on the ideal terrain. The circuits are designed so that you won’t be left in any doubt about the product in question and are ideal for all types of bicycles: mountain bikes, e-MTB, enduro, dual suspension, etc.

This year’s circuits are:
- Circuit A: 8 km/150 D+ - 30 min
- Circuit B: 12 km/200 D+ - 50 min
- Circuit C: 17 km/300 D+ - 1 hr 15 min

A new feature of this year’s edition will be an e-Demobike circuit hosting e-Demobike Speed for testing out electric bicycles. This circuit is sponsored by the prestigious German brand Haibike.
Another new feature are two 12-km circuits on open roads specially designed for gravel + road bicycles.

Stay tuned for more information on how to book through the Testpass system, according to brands, so that you can be safe in the knowledge that your bicycle is waiting to be enjoyed.

Helmets and accessories also available for testing

Finally, the helmet brand Abus, sponsor of the Ciclobrava, will provide products for testing for both adults and children, as well as sponsoring a kids’ circuit, where the little ones can borrow helmets specially designed for them. The Sena brand of helmets will also be among the available Demobike brands, and users will be able to put the accessories of other brands, such as Rotor and Swift Carbon, to the test, by trying out their technologies.
