by Seasons of Shred
Follow Andrew Taylor as he journeys half way around the world to take part in the first ever Redbull Skygate Mountain race in Zhangjiajie, China. With it being a first time event riders along with event organizers had no idea what the outcome would be and after the first runs the riders found out the were in for one hell of a ride. With fast speeds and nearly no way to stop injuries began popping up left and right leaving riders on their toes.

After a handful of run-ups it was time to get things rolling.

As the race rapped up it was time to sort out a kicker on the final drop and get the best trick jam underway.

AT, getting best trick started.

With a decent sized gap and mellow landing things weren't ideal but sometimes you just gotta sender!

Let's hope this event will never take place again. Makes me loathe Red Bull for organising such a sketchy un-calculated event, risking riders their lives for some cheap advertisement. Hope the ones who didn't crash still have good memories of their trip to China. But may this event never happen again...

Totally agree, the course didn't even look fun to ride and watching one of your favourite riders crash on a non impressive course is never fun.
