Estacada, OR, a small, rural town about a thirty-minute drive from Mount Hood, known for its one-stoplight, annual 4th of July Timber Festival, and odd abundance of Christmas tree farms, sits along the Clackamas River on the edge of the greater Portland area.

For Cal Poly Mechanical Engineering senior @bikerofestacada , where he grew up influenced his interest in action sports. The absence of neighbors and a vast natural playground of forest land helped to spark his passion for mountain biking and trail building.

After high school, Vince left Estacada to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Contrary to the biking scene in Estacada, which more or less didn't exist, San Luis Obispo’s solid mountain biking community and easy access to trails made Bugni feel welcomed immediately.

Vince and I set our sights on filming our favorite spots around town while attempting to capture the essence of mountain biking in SLO. Biker of Estacada follows Vince around SLO as he builds, rides, and enjoys the company of friends and conveys the greater lessons that can be learned from the sport.

Biker of Estacada has been one of my favorite pieces to work on because quite frankly it hasn’t felt like work at all. I hope you enjoy the film, and I hope that it inspires you to get out and ride.
