No Disrespect - Couple pointers: make sure to deinterlace your interlaced footage and don't use the frame blend option. it will get rid of all those mixed ugly looking frames. when color correcting, do so slowly and methodically. No more cranking saturation, crushing blacks and blowing out whites. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE. That trend ended a while ago. Keeping transitions dead simple is a nice way to keep your video clean and polished. The flash red orange and yellow thingy is dead. plz ppl stop using it. You are not making NWD 17. Your editing style is great though. keep it up. Cheers mate
im guessing he just used presets for the color correcting, in which case the saturation is super high. i use a camera like his, one thats only a couple hundred dollars, and for some reason even when i deinterlace, after i upload to pinkbike its interlaced again. im not sure how to fix it. got any pointers?
Depending on the program u are using to edit, it is usually the workflow that is the issue. For instance, if u use interlaced footage in a progressive workflow, its not going to deinterlace it for you. Get your workflow right, make sure u arent editing avchd in a HDV workflow, things like that. That is where you should start. i tried multiple programs to only deinterlace the footage. none worked very well. i use premiere cs5
I don't know...probably its just me, but having 2 events, pretty much looking alike in format and context (Kokanee and Colorado Crankworx) is a huge fail to the either one.
This year, the Colorado one, was nothing like the years before...you could see it in the video that there were not too many people...
Now, let's hope the Kokanee don't jump into this too, I believe this should be considered...or separate them more...or get rid of one...but I don't see them both alive for too long...just one should be continued,,
Two is always better than one. I guess maybe without the experience you wouldn't know that. It is hard to see on video and compare. Just like in real life not just videos. Two is better than one.
HOLY CRAP THAT FELLOW DID A three hundred and sixty degree spin while turning his bars a full three hundred and sixty degrees with having his hands on it
I was at Crankworkx CO. I thought the course was a huge disappointment. Jumps looked much smaller than I thought they would in person. The Double Whale tale in the middle was just designed wrong. The last gap was too large. I watched the comp for only about 30 minutes before I got sick of watching riders fall. Good thing I was there to ride lifts anyway. I watched Cam MaCaul fall so hard that it hurt me! He was taken off on a stretcher. I really hope he's ok, and that the person who designed this course will pay for his medical bills! Eventually they delayed the comp due to wind. None of the riders except Greg Watts would even take their last run. Epic Fail. Let's hope the real Crankworx is better.
yeah id have to agree with tetonlarry. only somewhat tho. that first drop was insane, and the kelly guy with the fucked bicep was an amazing rider. im definetly going next year, but ill spend more time riding the mountain than watching slopestyle. over all, a great time!
Yes, the first drop was insane. They have that at Crankworkx, CO every year, and the landing is still not steep enough. Although the riders are sick enough to pull it off, I did not see one landing on that drop that didn't look sketchy. There were some sick highlights for sure, but watching Cam McCaul get hurt was a terrible experience.
Go back to wyoming or should I say Texas Teton Larry. This is a great venue for the lower 48. The more comps the better for these guys. When you go this big you are going to get hurt. The same people that makes the jumps in Whistler (Cowen) designed the jumps in CO. You probably were not in Whistler so again you were watching videos. If you don't like the action keep riding the lifts and leave the comps to the professionals. You can always catch up online.
Go back to Wyoming? Is that supposed to make me feel bad. I happily went back to Wyoming. I've lived in Colorado, and I got the F out a long time ago, and where I live now is much better in every possible way. Why are you bringing up a comment from August anyway. Don't be a hater because you're stuck in Colorado. I watched almost every rider come up short on that fruitbowl. I expected the contest to be sick, but instead watched some of my heroes struggle to even complete a run. Honestly though, the wind blowing up the course was the real problem.
