Kyle is a lovable character who is not only well known on the Scottish riding scene for his precise bike control, but also for his ability to get anyone stoked to do anything. His signature dialect is what most people associate with Kyle as he literally spouts the funniest phrases every couple of minutes which are usually based around the words steezy, stoked, hyped, and sick. You really need to meet him in the flesh to appreciate the full effect of his infectious personality, it’s genuinely impossible to be in a bad mood when in his presence. The day I spent with Kyle was meant to be the beginning of a video project that was going to span over three days of filming, but unfortunately due to both of us having work commitments we were only able to squeeze in this one day before Kyle jetted off to Japan for a season of skiing. Thankfully, he is one of the most productive riders I've had the pleasure to film with and we managed to piece together this 2-minute video off the back of that one day.
To say the day was a tiring one would be an understatement, not only for the amount of hillside we covered but also how mentally tiring it was keeping up with Kyle and his incredibly high stoke levels! Despite feeling exhausted, I had an amazing day hanging out with Kyle and we ended on a high with a bacon and cheese burger from the local food and booze haunt The Skiing Doo. With his positive mindset and his love for riding bikes backed up with a solid result sheet from last year, it's safe to say that Kyle is set to have an amazing 2017 season. In the words of Kyle, I hope this video gets you “SUPER STOOOOOOOKED YO!!!"
