To bypass the long lift lines simply Hang upside down from the cable while attached to bike for a quick trip back up. Photo example shown.

Pathetic, I remember one year they opened on April 19th, today. I remember because today is my Wifes birthday and I had made plans for opening day that year......She doesn't ride bikes soo, neither did I that day. But in all seriousness, they have shortened the park season way to much. Thanks Vail.

Vail does not own snow summit. They are owned by Alterra(I think).

I was there one year they opened in April. It hailed/snowed for an hour and a half and everyone left. But then the rest of the afternoon the sun came out, there was hero dirt, and the place was empty.

Every year they make the season shorter and shorter, opening June 9th is insane. Snow summit OPEN EARLIER

I think they mean they'll have some closed at first but as the runs dry out more lifts will be running.

@Caligula1620: but summit only runs 2 chair lifts max, with most days only running 1. I would suspect ti is just a typo.

@Austink: On weekends they run that high speed lift to small wonder for the kids. The one over dual slalom. lol maybe that's the additional lift.

Be sure to check road conditions. I remember last year, I was sooo excited for to go up for opening day and the main road was closed. Ended up having to turn back or drive 1 1/2 hours from the back roads.

Not their fault but I wish they would have posted on Instagram for awareness.

Looking forward to new trails this year at Summit!

Yeah there is sometimes road construction in the summer that shuts down the road completely and you have to take a different highway which can add another 1/2hr to 1hr to your drive.

This is the first time I recall that they haven't opened by Memorial Day. They used to stay open until Halloween, if weather permitted, so you could get a lot of use out of your pass.

Last year they had the 2 bottom lifts open 1 mid mountain and 1 to the top and the kids lift.
