RockShox

No, this website isn’t called “PinkPike” (what would a “pink pike” look like anyway?). But nice job noticing that super subtle change to the PinkBike logo and giving it a click. Because it means that details matter to you and you’re not afraid to act. Which we love. So, as a reward, we’re giving you a sneak peek into the all-new trail fork we’ve been developing. The new-generation RockShox PIKE builds on the stellar reputation of what the PIKE has always been by re-engineering it into the best trail fork on the planet. And you’re exactly the kind of person we want riding it.

Get the full story on April 13th, 9am CST/4pm Central European time.

Well, actually, contrary to the 1st image, curiosity did *not* make me act. In fact, I didn't even notice that the PB logo was different. Standard website navigation is to link the logo on the top left of the screen to the home page. All I wanted to do was get to the PinkBike homepage, and now I'm on a RockShox ad and annoyed. It's a misleading practice and breaks the user's trust in the website. Think about when you're reading a multi-page web article and you click a link that you *think* takes you to the next page in the article, but instead takes you to a fake news site, or an ad for some doohickey or other. Of course that's happened to you; how annoyed were you when that happened?

except this is a site for MTB, which is a....HOBBY sorry to break it to you, but no harm has been done

I love it when marketing departments think they have a clever idea, and then the comment section suggests that in fact it is annoying and frustrating. I kept clicking trying to get to the homepage and kept wondering what the hell I was doing wrong. Then I noticed the subtle b to p change. Then I made this comment. Next, I will be navigating to VITAL...

So while I'm here wondering why PB thought this would be a good idea to allow a company to f*ck with the home button on a website let's talk about noticable differences to the fork.

1. The crown has been redesigned (so they are going to tell us it's stiffer but less weight)
2. The Axle looks different as well (going away from Maxle? How they will promote the dropping of a simple system
3. New air cap top cap as well (maybe adjustable Air volume knob as well?)
4. Not showing the RCT3 model damper control just showing RT like control (maybe simplifying just like boxxer)

Oh and it looks like yellow numbers on the sag markings.

"best trail fork on the planet..." well, we ll see about that: I swapped my older Pike, for the -16 Fox 34 and has been a happy cat after that! But I ll give the new Pike a try; just send it over! Wink

No kidding. "pink pike" is what I clicked on. (inadvertently or not)

Now I'm going to sue someone unless I get a pink pike. uppers, lowers, knobs, even the damn tokens, pink.
