Video: Surfing Trails in Kamloops with William Robert
Surfing since 10, Riding (BMX, now MTB, since I was 9). I am 46 years old and here's my take. Surfing is more fun (to me) even when the waves are bad.If you learn how to make a shortboard go in mediocre waves you can have a blast, and when the waves are good it's even better. The issue is the crowd however. I have learned to enjoy beachbreaks and surf alone when I get fed up with surf school graduates. With the above said, MTB is a very close second. The feeling of flowing singletrack with berms and kickers, with a slammed seat and flat pedals is very similar to surfing. The community/vibe is the same as surfing was back in the day. The cool thing is that the fitness benefits (which are a small aspect of why I surf and ride) complement each other. Surfing is upper body and low intensity aerobic combined with hard efforts. MTB is lower body with some upper and core as well, and much more aerobic, with some anaerobic also thrown in. Blessed to have those two sports in my life and to be able to enjoy leisure time when most of the world is just trying to feed their families.

Video: Full Send on an XC Bike
This is sick! Funny thing is I just started wearing lycra again, got rid of my dropper and put on a 100mm stem (inverted at that). I'm having a lot more fun in my flattish trails then on my previous "enduro" builds. I think we tend to get caught up in the hype and end up not riding what is best for our terrain. Just yesterday I was jumping with my high seat post and working on getting my body ahead of the post, just behind the cockpit and then this video comes out! Not having to mess with a dropper or think about whether I have the seat in the correct position rocks. Plus the fact that I don't have to tinker with dropper mechanisms and deal with the extra weight makes this new trip I'm in very good...

American Tariffs on Chinese-Made Goods Threaten to Increase Prices for the US Bike Industry
It's funny how people complain about the chinese reverse engineering nite-rider lights and releasing identical but dangerous product (fire!) without paying royalties or counterfeiting Oakleys. These complainers then go right ahead and bash policies that are meant to protect american manufacturing and intellectual property. These same individuals complain they can't find a good job, which they need, to buy more cheap chinese stuff they don't need...These tariffs create jobs and yes, at the cost of higher prices but then again, how much gear or material goods from eBay do you really need? How much underemployment can you tolerate? Answer these questions, dig into economic cause and effect snd you'll start to understand the reasoning behind these tariffs.

26 in all mountain slack, hard tail

$400 USD
If you have seen the "26 ain't dead" video and always wanted a bike like that this is it. I built it up with Mavic Crossmax ST tubeless wheels, Maxxis High roller II 2.35 front and rear set up tubeless (rear tire is starting to develop some leakage but has good life left) Rock Shox Revelation 140mm travel fork with 15mm thru axle, 50 mm stem, 750mm bars, gravity dropper post (the simplest and most reliable dropper post on the market), ONE Chainguide/bashguard combo and 1x10 Sram XO rear mech and cranks. Shifter is SRAM X7. Frame is 4130 Chromoly that can be run as a 27.5 as well, made by Fireye (Taiwanese Chromag/Transition knock off I bought from Chain Reaction Cycles). Rides incredible from pump track to Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. Getting rid of it because I am trying to streamline the quiver. Will throw in additional Mavic spokes (although I never had to even true the wheels, bought them just in case), a rear WTB Wolverine tubeless tire (faster rolling but less grip) and spare bash guard pieces. Bike comes with Ritchey SPD pedals only. I probably have $2000 invested in this bike and countless hours of research building up the perfect All Mountain Hard tail. I will ship in cardboard bike box carefully packed if seller pays shipping charge, prob around $30 from what I've seen for ground. Thanks for looking! Daniel
