Video: Remy Metailler’s Favourite Lines in Sedona
Love seeing Nate ride. So used to him doing the follow cam, it’s always a treat to see him in front of the camera.

Video: Yoann Barelli Creates & Rides New Lines in Colorado
I may certainly be wrong here but other than two lines (one near the top, the other about halfway down) it appeared to be builder approved line options. I may have erroneously assumed that CoMBA somehow sanctioned Yoann to officially create a new line to add to the bounty that makes up Sluice. As someone who’s seen inconsiderate trail users destroy front range spots (especially the last 10-20 years) in the past, I strive not to be one. If you happen to be the grey bearded dude or the younger clean shaven dude I said hi and gave my thanks to every Friday in June, sorry for any undue stress, I assure you I appreciate your work and would not purposely disrespect your trail.

Pinkbike Poll: At What Age Is a Rider at Their Peak?
@Germanmike: you’re not wrong! It is super helpful when stuff doesn’t break constantly.

Pinkbike Poll: At What Age Is a Rider at Their Peak?
@warmerdamj: Very true… So I must give my younger self credit. I don’t think I’d go shred the concrete skate park and drop huge sets of stairs with no brakes downtown during rush hour at 35. Could I? Maybe. Am I that dumb? No! Ha!!!

Pinkbike Poll: At What Age Is a Rider at Their Peak?
I largely agree with you as I am a far better rider in my mid 30’s than my twenties. However, I have to admit that during a recent trail side conversation with a few other riders the general consensus was that a large part of the reason we’re all better technical riders with age (mid 30s-40s) is due to finances. We all rode what we could afford and would be sidelined for a full season if anything catastrophic happened to our bikes. Admittedly, my mtb’s were all hand me down hard tails but I rode decent bmx stuff and cracked frames with regularity and taco’d countless Alex triple wall rims. So I guess I’d have to say that skill improves with age but largely as a result of financial situations improving as well?

Opinion: The Case For Being 'Over-Biked'
@ppp9911: I’m right there with you. Got my first big bike (Capra) to compliment my Troy. Capra didn’t cut it on trail so I got a Meta and it’s absolutely my go to bike and the Troy, while a great bike, is for sale. Would’ve gone for a Spartan if I could’ve found one in my size.

Opinion: The Case For Being 'Over-Biked'
Totally agree with Seb on this. I think you nailed it with, “there’s plenty of long travel bikes these days” logic too. As I have two bikes that have been classified as super enduro bikes at one point or another and one (Commencal Meta am) is a great bike for literally any occasion while the other (YT Capra) is really only at its best park riding. I didn’t necessarily think I’d be taking the Meta on longer mellower family rides when I purchased it as I just wanted a bike for gnarly trail riding that could also handle park laps. Yet It’s absolutely become my daily driver for anything but park days while my old Devinci Troy just collects dust now. To each their own though I suppose.

Review: Rapha's New Performance Trailwear Clothing
@SATN-XC: I too prioritize spf in mtb and hiking gear. While some folks may luck out with the minimal protection offered by a simple tshirt, I will sunburn. Stay healthy man!

Bike Check: Tom Bradshaw's Commencal Meta AM 29
Mine definitely creaks like crazy. I’m gonna give ibro23’s tip a try, hopefully it helps. However, the bike has limitless potential so I will happily live with that creak as long as the bike allows because it is amazing otherwise. My previous rides were a Devinci Troy and a YT Capra and I quickly found their limits, despite my best efforts the Meta has yet to reveal a single weakness beyond a slight aversion to the tightest of switch backs.
