On Saturday 19th May, the 4X ProTour will return to one of the finest 4X tracks in the world. Szczawno Zdroj in Poland will host round two of the 2018 4X ProTour. The track is superb. Flowing through parkland, this track is the pride of Szczawno Zdroj. With grandstand seating lining the track, trees and flowers everywhere, this really is a venue that sits 4X on a pedestal. Back on the ProTour after a 2-year hiatus, the riders can't wait to get back racing at this superb venue.
2017 4X ProTour Champion Tomas Slavik will be the man to beat. After a good season in 2017, Tomas powered his way towards the overall title. On the back foot though, Slavik had to miss round one in Germany so he will be chasing the win and valuable points.
Slavik will not have it all his own way though. Defending World Champion Felix Beckeman won the European Championships on this track in 2012 so he has good form here. Quentin Derbier, Scott Beaumont and Hannes Slavik will also be fighting for the win at this iconic track.
In the women's race, defending 4X ProTour Champion Romana Labounkova will enter this race as the clear favourite. Natasha Bradley will bring her supreme jumping skills to this track and it will be interesting to see if that gives her an advantage. Helene Fruhwirth, Steffi Marth and Hannah Escott will all be looking to beat Romana.
