Makken is a DH rider from the cold valleys of Norway. With only a few months of good weather, the riding is limited, but so appreciated.
Morten Engelien spent 2 weeks with Makken filming in Hafjell bike park and Vang 2975. Makken have been focusing on his big bike riding this year. His goal was to bring his dirt jump skills over to his DH bike. They came back with a short, but powerfull edit, and it's pretty clear to us that they achieved their goals!

Makken have been wanting to hit jumps like this on his DH bike for years and this season it happend. This is just the first step in this direction for Makken and we are gonna be filming him as he progresses his big bike riding!

Before this season he was riding for YT industries with Lacondeguy. He's also made some movies with Lacondeguy. I remember one where they were riding DH, where Makken made a pretty crazy drop to flat! But can't find the movie. But did find this from Damage Inc: www.pinkbike.com/video/224129
This is like the best video i've ever seen, great scenery, great riding, cool music, and for me nine knights has that rampage vibe and it's a pretty sick event!
i think "balls of steel" or "Norwegian can't jump" would be a appropriate title for this one, high hopes just to humble for this guy. he was flying all the way down
honestly his attitude was pretty annoying/disrepectful through the whole thing and yes there was some sarcasm but it got old imo and while he's a good rider not all that impressed by him as a person based off of this vid... sorry to say...
then maybe you should pull that fox 40 stanchion out of your ass. he's just a down to earth cat that obviously likes to live and laugh... sorry to say...
I'm not going to lie, he kinda seems like a dick. But until you know the guy you can't really say. Also 'not giving a f*ck' is all the rage these days with the kids. Just ask Brian in his leopard print speedo at rampage this year. www.bikemag.com/blog/the-bakery-the-power-of-not-giving-a-fck
THIS VIDEO IS F*CKING AMAZING, the cinematography, transitions, locations, music, atmosphere and.......the riding. Everything about this video screams BAD ASS. The creativity and the style of he filmmaker and the rider blow me away.
It is so good, hands down the best film segment I've seen on here yet.
I guess the big words "bullsh1t" after that whole intro passed you by semenuk-fan
Massive props to Makken for not taking himself too seriously safe in the knowledge he can show most big name pro up One of the few videos/ riders where you constantly get the feeling every jump is just too small...
well, yeah me too of course but that feeling of not being good enough is what does it. not just that though, its most important to shred and have fun X)

Way to go!
But really? "I just want to keep being healthy" takes a puff from his cigerette
Whacks a Trek bike with a mallet.
Possibly a tiny bit of sarcasm
