Based on the shock being in a position to make like the specialized endure and blow up. I’m also going to agree no.

Elite Finals Results from the Mont-Sainte-Anne DH World Cup 2023
For everyone shitting on the commentary. It has gotten better throughout the season. English Cedric’s first language, and he should get better with time. Ric is eh. I agree the both is not as good as Rob Warner’s, but he developed his craft over years. Give the new boys a chance eh? On a side note. Things to learn from this year. 1. Semifinals is dumb. I stopped watching after the first week. 2. Free coverage of the juniors is great to have. In the past you only saw results. Much appreciated. Hope it continues. 3. why isn’t there more elite women in finals their racing is just as enjoyable to watch, and to to the smaller overall field of female rides. I am more invested in their story. 4. Allow the original 60 men to qualify, but only show screen time for the top 20-30 riders. That way cinderella runs can still happen, but the top boys still earn their proper living. ( yes I know this is basically how redbull did it) 5. Riders seem to want the World Cup to be a World Cup. Try to get venues in Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America. Yes travel would be more expensive, but each one would definitely feel different and exotic like a World Cup should. That’s enough of me spewing internet nonsense today.

[UPDATED] Elite Finals Results & Overall Standings from the Loudenvielle DH World Cup 2023
I’m surprised nobody has said it yet, but if Dak rode at the same time as Bruni. This is a good chance he would win. It was clear the track was rolling faster especially at the top.

[UPDATED] Elite Finals Results & Overall Standings from the Andorra DH World Cup 2023
I’m sure I’ll get downvoted, but I agree with most people that the semis should be scrapped. I would also like to see a smaller final. I generally only pay attention to the top 20 riders, or top 40 if I I really enjoy the track. I feel the first 2 or 3 races should be for trying to qualify you to race. Top 80 qualify for semis, and top 30 from semis race. And then keep the top 40 men. And top 30 women, and just have 2 finals the races after. The alternates would be based on the best average places of the first 2 or 3 races. This would allow people a chance to qualify in without costing as much, create better incentives for sponsors to back riders, and hopefully evolve the local scene as top talent will be in their respective home countries to ride. Though I’m just a keyboard warrior, so what do I know. ♂️
