( yes I know this is basically how redbull did it) 5. Riders seem to want the World Cup to be a World Cup. Try to get venues in Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America. Yes travel would be more expensive, but each one would definitely feel different and exotic like a World Cup should. That’s enough of me spewing internet nonsense today.

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted, but I agree with most people that the semis should be scrapped. I would also like to see a smaller final. I generally only pay attention to the top 20 riders, or top 40 if I I really enjoy the track. I feel the first 2 or 3 races should be for trying to qualify you to race. Top 80 qualify for semis, and top 30 from semis race. And then keep the top 40 men. And top 30 women, and just have 2 finals the races after. The alternates would be based on the best average places of the first 2 or 3 races. This would allow people a chance to qualify in without costing as much, create better incentives for sponsors to back riders, and hopefully evolve the local scene as top talent will be in their respective home countries to ride. Though I’m just a keyboard warrior, so what do I know. ‍♂️
