The portuguese enduro caravan hit the road on the way to Ponte de Lima. Its the last race of the season, everyone was excited to meet the new champions or anxious to chill and drink some beers after a day struggling on the bike. After three years working hard and organizing other events such as, Enduro Challenge Ponte de Lima, the crew from Pé do Negro made an effort and put together all the conditions for an unforgettable racing weekend.
After a stormy night powered by 'Leslie, the Hurricane', the maintenance crew was forced to check all the five trails in order to guarantee the safety of all riders. With everything checked, the green light was given and riders started to roll into Stage 1.
Vasco Bica, the downhill rider from Miranda Factory Team was the first leader winning by over 3 seconds his team mate José Borges. Fun Zone is the name of the Stage 2 but after the hurricane well, its wasn't fun anymore... one tree fell into the stage forcing the organization to cancel the special. The Stage 3 known by bsoluteBlack was an ally for Borges who beat Emanuel Pombo by 11 seconds and send him for the first position overall. At the end of the stage everyone understood that Borges wasn't there to play... He was hungry to reach first place and become the Portuguese Enduro Series Champion and specially in the north. From there on, last two stages of the season Borges was totally 'blind' and imposed an amazing rhythm leaving everybody behind... In the end José Borges and Maaris Meier were crowned champions.
