Because sometimes it seems that we forget what MTB is about, we made this event a celebration of what MTB really is, not just enduro, but friendship. In January we held the second version of the DCH CUP, in Curacaví, Chile. A race organized by Deochueco (DCH) MTB Team, for all his members.
We are a Chilean Enduro Team, mostly composed of friends who just love to ride bikes. The name means “crooked finger”, and it came from an accident one of the original members had. With about 20 amateur riders enjoying the famous Chilean antigrip, it was a party of biking and joking, that ended at a local brewery (Cerveceria Kross) with a day long “Parrilla” (BBQ), really cold beer, and awards and recognition for the best moments of 2014.
Unlike EWS, we don't have the ultimate technology on timing, but everything can be done with a watch, paper and a pen, simple. Like last year's race, everything was organised by DCH, to build up an absolutely free, small scale race, among friends and family.
With the support of Cerveceria Kross (one of the best Chilean Breweries), ECO-BIKE (Local Bikestore), KHS Chile, The Sensus Chile, Papa Johns Chile and Grace Hangover Prevention, we were able to build up a tremendous event, that generated almost as much excitement as the EWS round one in Nevados de Chillán.
