Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
get em a 45mm length stem @0* rise, a 40mm rise handlebar and throw 10-20mm of spacers under the stem. Banger

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
. . .because stems with built in rise create a vague steering input that the 0* (neutral) rise stems just never seem to have that same problem with. 15mm of steer spacers, 40mm bar rise, 0* stem @40-45mm length...that's how its done right there.

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
@kobold: I lovelove how much we all collectively piss off bike and component manufactures with our "ummm, idk, depends. Both?" type answers.

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
explain, please. Like anything greater than 30mm of bar rise creates 'vague' or uneven, near unpredictable bar flex patterns? Or?

Devinci Announces All-New E-Troy Lite & Yoann Barelli Shreds It
@dmackyaheard: the parts never match how nice the frame is on ANY complete bike I've ever looked into. They have to stop this bait&switch on high end MTBs, just sell us a frame! The retail goblins that don't know any better and "just want an electric bike" will still buy up the pig&lipstick pre-determined build kits. Not to worry. ps its the 'frame up' rider builds that custom spec. their bikes who really help draw curiosity and interest to a bike from local people...those types of folks are also likely to be ripping harder/faster/bigger, as well. Give us the frame only, this is a stickup (for my money, given to you, the bike manufacturer)

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
I can't stand more than 18mm of spacers and will not even consider a frame if I have to 'slam' the setup (8mm or less stack). There's defiantly a sweet spot of spacer stack height where you hit this optimal stiffness/steering leverage characteristic not found on 'slammed' setups and especially vacant when you exceed 20mm+ of steer tube spacers. Everything on the bike is a balancing act. 30-45mm rise handlebars...crucial. Stop manufacturing bars in 800mm width...please start at 780mm and leave a small pittance inventory for "tall/heavy fat dickheads" who actually benefit from the flex pattern of an 800mm bar. The rest of us (actual majority) who cut 765mm and under are getting screwed. Get mad

First Look: Vorsprung's New Telum Coil Shock
One thing that didn't get brought up, and what truly makes any performance suspension phenomenal is tight/close machining tolerances...it's literally what makes Fox/RS less desirable than EXT or PUSH. It nearly comes down to tolerances during production how reliable/consistent a shock performs. Owner of EXT USA explained this to me. Cody, cool guy. Real deal.
