Video: Enduro Bike Ripping on Wet Squamish Trails

Nov 14, 2021 at 15:39
by Trailhead Media House

A few weeks ago I met up with an old friend from high school for a casual film session. Jordan and I both grew up in New Brunswick, and now after several years we've reconnected on the West Coast.

We realized our chances of lining up a shoot on a sunny day were slim, so we decided to embrace the moody Squamish weather. With only a few hours to capture some shots before sunset, we tossed a rain cover on the camera, crushed some CLIF bars and started filming.

Thanks to Matt Bolton and the rest of the crew for building this amazing trail.

Cue UK riders saying that's not wet in 3, 2, 1...

need a legit sorca tax on each squamish article at this point. The amount of content/revenue made on these trails is mind boggling. I doubt annual donations come close to being fair. Outside has the cash.

I think it would be fair for the companies that profit from the trails should collectively donate enough money to cover Trail Crew expenses at least, which they currently don't. Then memberships could be used to help volunteers (of which I am one and am grateful for the help).

SORCA has had nothing to do with this trail and Jordan helped me build it. We like beer donations though

Was speaking more generally about the media hype machine that draws crowds to the area so sorca donations for maintenance seem to make sense. You deserve more than a few cold ones for the work you’ve done! @mattboltz:

I live in the desert, and I still consider that dry.

"Moist" would be a more accurate.
