For those of you who have been wondering about the lack of trike videos or photos lately, well, there's an unfortunate reason behind that. During a recent photoshoot/shred session, I was skidding sideways down one of the large hills in my yard. After hitting a rock, the front wheel of the trike violently snapped off, leaving me and the trike scraping against the ground down the hill. As I hit the trail that goes up the side of the hill, the back wheels popped off as well, sending me pinwheeling to the bottom of the hill. No amount of Gorilla Glue could fix the fallen idol, and the tricycle met an untimely demise at the hands of the trash truck. THIS is actually the only remaining piece in existence...
But don't take it too hard, friends. Thanks to the magic of Pinkbike, we can relive some of the finest moments of the terrific trike. Observe...
All of the trike's glory...in slo motion.
Probably my most enduring image, with the tricycle in the center of it all.
Taking flight off a jump with the trike.
Another take at the jump, the trike rearing up like the Western Hero's glorious stallion.
My very first video, riding the trike, unfortunately, into a small ditch. Years of this wear and tear more than likely led to it's sudden demise.
For more trike videos, check out TabaguacheTal's early videos or the videos of VaingloriousVanson. Now I know that you're all thinking: "Is there images of the 'last ride'"? Actually, yes, there's a video, but it's...it's not fun to watch. So that will stay on the memory card of a GoPro for a while. But even though you can't watch that, it's legacy lives on on PB, where we can relive the glorious moments of a few slabs of plastic that brought so many good times and laughs to all of us out there. Until next time,
(NOTE) This is all a bit of a joke-although the trike's "death" is very real-so don't take this too seriously. "Why so serious?"
