At Volcom, we align with people that are authentically ‘True To This’… and we support stories rooted in the irrational pursuit of their passions.
R Dogg, Nik and Warren are great riders and members of our family! We are excited to support their new surfing adventures as well as their mountain biking passion!
True To The Woods is a representation of that feeling you have when you spend a week with your homies surfing, chilling, and mostly enjoying the woods! It's not the trails you do, nor how fast or slow you go… is the time you have laughing with the crew!

Mountain biking, however, still has that vibe.
Too many D-Bags in my surfing world made me hang up my boards and grab for my bike every time...
I have come across the odd D-Bag surfing though. And to be honest, when you find out there are D-Bags, even in a sport as pure, joyful and (dare i say it) perhaps sometimes spritual as surfing, it's disappointing but also one of the most important life lessons you can learn:
Regardless of how fundamentally good the ethos of a particular group or community is, there's still A-holes who want to join in too. Just because somebody shares the same interest as you is no guarantee they'll uphold the same values. A-holes get everywhere and that's life.
But then realized the connection to surfing is all marketing?
as someone who surfs, skates and snowboards as well i prefer to support brands who support action sports/outdoors.
come on Volcom get amongst it.
Pumping, finding the right line, speed control... are things that you have to master to get better at surfing or mountainbiking. Been surfing for over 15 years and started riding a bike quite late, nothing beats a good surf but riding a new "bikepark"/bike spot got me back years ago when I first discovered surf breaks around my area. It's all about (re)discovering new spots to ride and learning along that.
I’m little 2 old and fat too hustle.
But a surf and turf always puts a smile on my face!
