The Yeti Cycles VIDA MTB Series announces its lineup for 2017 with unparalleled locations in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. VIDA’s humble roots have grown into producing premier women’s mountain bike events, with an emphasis on the community of riders who connect beyond the clinic.

Registration is now open for all events at www.vidamtb.com

“It has been an incredible evolution from our very first event in 2013, to a full-fledged movement of women who are shifting the paradigm of what it means to be a female rider,” said Sarah Rawley, president of Vida Events. “Our community is full of strong, hard-charging women who are eager to share the gift and passion of mountain biking with others.”

Yeti Cycles, the Colorado-based performance mountain bike brand, will continue as the title sponsor of VIDA in 2017, as the company has since the inception of the clinic series.

“Yeti remains committed to provide premier mountain bikes and apparel for women and we haven’t found a more perfect outlet than VIDA,” said Janette Sherman, Yeti marketing manager. “We also believe in the spirit of the VIDA clinic that remains focused on riding skills, but in the spirit of camaraderie and community that is core to women’s mountain biking.”

The season officially kicks off at the Sedona MTB Festival on March 4. The one-day clinic format will allow festival attendees the opportunity to gain skills and confidence with a coach on Saturday, and shred singletrack with their friends and family on Friday and Sunday. VIDA will offer yoga, a tech talk from Stan's NoTubes, and group rides on Sunday for all festival attendees to join.

"It has been amazing to see the community that VIDA brings to the Sedona MTB Festival,” said Mike Rainey, founder and event director of the Sedona MTB Festival. “Their clinic is the perfect way to gain skills, confidence and friendship going into the three-day event.”

VIDA returns to Colorado for lush, spring conditions at Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, Colo., on May 20, followed by the Beti Bike Bash, the world’s largest women’s only mountain bike event. VIDA will host a one-day clinic at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood, Colo. on Saturday, June 3, followed by the main event on Sunday.

“VIDA and the Beti Bike Bash have been sister events since the beginning,” said Amy Thomas, co-founder of the Beti Bike Bash and manager of Team Yeti Beti. “The initial successes of the Beti Bike Bash sparked the idea for the first VIDA clinic. While we encourage all women to race, we also know that learning from other women is the foundation to becoming a lifelong rider.”

As summer is just beginning in the high country, VIDA will take full advantage of pristine alpine riding at Trestle Bike Park, July 1-2 and Snowmass Bike Park, August 5-6. Both bike parks are undergoing expansion to their current trail systems in 2017. Weekend clinics are filled with lift-accessed and trail riding all day long, on top of healthy meals, yoga, tech talks, and happy hour socializing.

“It is encouraging to see the growth in world-class bike parks in our backyard, as well as their eagerness to welcome more women riders,” Rawley said. “We can’t wait to test out the new trails at both Trestle Bike Park and Snowmass Bike Park for our two largest clinics of the year.”

VIDA will make a special appearance at the Yeti Tribe Gathering, an exclusive event for owners of Yeti bikes, July 2017.

Just as the leaves begin to turn gold, VIDA will join forces with the Golden Giddyup— the first endurando of all time (enduro + Grand Fondo), but more importantly a community sponsored bike event and trail stewardship program culminating on September 9-10.

New for 2017 is a multi-event discount— save $25 - $100 when you sign up for multiple VIDA clinics, ranging in price from $165 - $385. More details can be found at www.vidamtb.com/register.

VIDA’s Ambassador Program was launched in 2015 with a small group of women who were interested in becoming involved at clinics and in their local communities. In less than two years, the program has grown to embrace over 40 ambassadors across the country who are initiating movement on a grassroots level. The VIDA Ambassador Program will open applications for new ambassadors beginning January 5, 2017.

“We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who care deeply about the sport and are motivated to be involved at VIDA clinics, lead group rides, and be an active voice in their communities,” said Rachel Gottfried, operations manager for the VIDA MTB Series.

Yeti Cycles returns as the title sponsor of the VIDA MTB Series, with opportunities to demo the Yeti Beti line of bikes at all VIDA events, along with Stan's NoTubes, Smith Optics, Fox Head, Fox Racing Shox, Skratch Labs, Twin SixEnduro Bites, and Wild Balance Jewelry.

“We are incredibly lucky to work side-by-side with a bike company that distills its values through creating, unapologetically, the best mountain bikes in the industry,” Rawley said. “The Yeti Beti bike line truly reflects VIDA’s spirit, and we can’t wait to share the experience of riding a Beti with our participants.”
