@opignonlibre: I dont agree, but thats ok.. I certainly didnt "just complain" but solid come back '-) I even said it was a small and worthwhile investment to pay for GCN+. Guess you missed that?
Go back and watch last years Leogang, or Lenzerheide on RedBull and see what you think?
The birds eye shot from the drone is ok once or twice a race, but it was over done last weekend. Thankfully they used it for the side shots this week.
Im just thankful its televised and done well. nothing wrong with asking for even better is there?

If you see any of that as an invalid complaint I cant help. At least there is coverage! The commentary from Ric is painful. He’s had months to do some XC research and he still says some pretty dumb stuff. Too many things to list. I guess if ya know ya know.
The drone coverage is a cool addition, don’t get me wrong but it isnt exactly great, come on… At least there was no overuse of the birds eye view shot this weekend its a pretty pointless shot when used multiple times a lap. The camera positioning is more my issue. They had no camera for the rock roll last weekend, and one of the descents this weekend only has the chase drone? To be honest Id wager its the same TV crews doing it all as last year and UCI/Discovery have very little if any say.

Its a small investment. You do have to listen to the uneducated XC commentary from Ric McLaughlin and is constant repeating exactly what Bart just said, but its still worth it... Definitely not as well done as RedBull though with soe poorly planned camera locations. Hopefully they improve.

DH & XC Entry Lists for the Leogang World Cup 2023
He posted on his Insta the other day that he and his team (Alpecin) that it was best he sit it out and focus on the later races. I read this between the lines that this being a "climbers" race there was little point in him attending? Conjecture, but disappointing whatever the reason.

@KingPooPing: Hint of things to come? As in, Di2 is coming or are you suggesting electronic shifting is going to fade out? There is no way XTR and XT wont be electronic soon. They have 12spd Di2 as road Groupsets and also a 12sp XT Di2 for "E-Bikes"
It might even arrive before XTR 12 speed cassettes are back in stock? lol

-No one piece Silverton SL carbon wheels for the Scott SRAM team anymore?
-Specialized still providing "their" riders with lockout shocks, but not "their" customers... Ugh... (Epic EVOs galore)
-Simplon bikes running DTSwiss forks, but KS dropper - This would make sense if they ran a dropper with actual "drop seeing that DT Swiss dont want to (cant?) make a worthwhile length dropper post? Why not use the DT post if you only want 80mm?
-There is never anything special about a Lefty Fork... Unless you want proprietary BS, and a damper that blows out quicker than a SID...

Results: Australian National XC Championships 2023
@handynzl: The PNP XCO series here in Welly gets a great turnout for its Spring series. ChcSingletrack also get a good turnout for their Tues night series and even the Canterbury series at Bottle Lake (expensive Boring slog) gets great numbers.
A 1hr race for $70ish in "Oamaru"... No thanks. Same with Nationals in the most expensive location in NZ... That being said, Im heading to do the Coronet Loop/Mototapu next weekend for a $200 "race". ha ha.
I would have gone to Nationals if it was in CHCH/WLG/Rotorua ( so would a few others I ride with)
As much as it hurts to say it, XCO style (1-1.5hr) races need to be in locations where the population is, or can at least get to easily/affordably.
