Can you rewrite the article to state this is Whistler Blackcomb's biggest bike sale please? Whistler's biggest bike sale is on May 12th in Olympic Plaza and is been held by WORCA.

For what it's worth, the WORCA Bike Swap also generates vital funds to foster mountain bike development in the greater Whistler area (I.e. The money doesn't all go to the Bike Park/Vail Corp).

They drop more advertising dollars on pb - this is an advertisement, not a real article.

@paulskibum: That was supposed to be a thumbs up emoji. Not 4 question marks...

I went last year and swore on my way in I would never buy a used park bike. After talking to the mechanics there I bought my 10 year old one. Obviously suspension, drivetrain and brakes likely need work but they inspect all the welds and it's been a huge success. I paid $700 for a 24" full suspension Giant Yukon. Tires and drivetrain we're in great shape. I replaced the avid brakes with some older XTs I had and got the shock and fork serviced at the SRAM tent during Crankworx. All in I'm under $1000 for a sweet ride for my son. I'd say if you're reasonably mechanically inclined the kids bikes are worth a look.

 No info on pricing?

Ik. How does it work typically? Are the items truly on sale or are they at full price? Getting a carbon midnight black D3 MIPS for >$300 brand new would be a God send.

Just like WB's winter Turkey Sale, service shops all over Whistler and Greater Vancouver will be letting consumers know that they bought a "turkey".

Buyer beware of used rental gear, remember, one season in Whistlers rental fleet can equate to 3-5 seasons of regular hard riding.

How long do you expect a bike/components to last?
  • 2 1
Is this all old park bikes or are there deals on new equipment/components/etc?
  • 3 2
There are both! Ex-demo and rental bikes as well as new bikes and gear.

For the day lots, can we move around say from 6 to 1 or 2? it is pay parking via license plate. I've only just paid for parking and then stayed at the lot.

Will there be any Specialized bikes for sale?
  • 2 2
New bike frame? I think I'll just mold my own. New gear? I guess a new D3 and some new Impacts would be pretty rad.
