Changes in the Bike Park are forever constant and come at no surprise. Changes occur to the trails, to the Bike Park team, to the organization. But change without direction is futile. That's why we're focused on positive change... progression.

We have some introductions to make. First, is WMBP's newest team rider Melissa Penrose. Originally from Brampton, Ontario, she now calls Whistler home.

Second, which needs no introduction, is the new Pro Line on Dirt Merchant.

Together, they paint a picture of progression. Because when you push the park, the park pushes you.

Rode this a few weeks ago!!! People camping all over the trail that don't belong.. Trail needs a more difficult gateway feature.

Actually, I would wish for a sighting line that parallels the main line. I was one of those people on my first pass a couple weeks ago, but that was because blind hucking stuff like that cost me my spleen

@sirsamwellingtonthefirst: I usually do tires on the ground first go.

@Pisgah4life: Can't do tires on the ground first try downlike A-line on the new Dirt Merchant. Mandatory big drops, and some jumps that you would not want to case/come up less than the top of the knuckle.

I love when ppl stop on the A line's rock drop. My favorite one was in Châtel where 2 British tourists decided to have a snack on the River gap.

I find a lot of noobs/tourists stop at the entrance of trails at trail hubs. They don't realize a lot of people don't stop for a break, they come through at full speed.

Whistler has a team of riders? What for?
  • 6 0
Promo, coaching, ambassadors, and they probably race. All sorts of reasons the park might want a team of its own.
