World Bicycle Relief just launched its exciting year-end campaign for donations, its annual appeal for funds that will provide life-changing bicycles to students living in rural developing countries. Donations received now through December 31, 2016, will be matched dollar-for-dollar with the potential of delivering thousands of bicycles to students who are at risk of dropping out of school due to the challenge of distance and personal safety on the way to school.

This year’s campaign, A Way Forward, focuses attention on girl students. Over 29 million girls around the world do not attend secondary school. Many factors contribute to girls dropping out of school in much higher numbers than boys: obligatory household chores, distance to school, sexual assault and child marriage. These barriers stand between young girls and bright futures. A high-quality bicycle can remove these barriers, keep girls in school and keep them safe as they travel to school. World Bicycle Relief is committed to breaking down these barriers for girls, helping them achieve their educational goals and become change-makers within their communities and around the world.

Join World Bicycle Relief this holiday season in changing the future for thousands of bright, dedicated and passionate girls who will achieve great things for themselves and the world given access to an education.

You can make A Way Forward for girls by donating to World Bicycle Relief here.

Chris Froome is from Nairobi. It would be cool to see the big manufacturers step up and donate 1000 bikes for every tour stage win he gets!

If I upset anyone or angered anyone after my 1st comment,I apologize and take it back. I was simply expressing an opinion on this one subject. That being, the way women and girls are treat in highly religious areas. It is a viewpoint/worldview that comes directly from holy books. That was my point. No harm no foul brothers and Sisters, Comrades n' Friends. lol

If we didn't have religion, we wouldn't have this divide. Only religion does this. Sorry but it's true.

Whether you are religious or not you should realise religion is the man made institution that helps man be faithful to a belief. So I agree somewhat, but really man divides himself from another. Just look at the wheel size debate,. Pick a size and be a ducj about it. We divide our selves

If we didn't have religion I'm sure we'll find something else to divide over.

@pacojj: Yes and that is why Albert Einstein said: "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe!"

its not about religion, its not about politics, its all about money.

@Geral01: I'll grant you that Brother, but their limited worldview of women comes directly from religion, where else would it come from, an Atheist would never do that. lol Loosely speaking o'course. lol

@pacojj: we likely would but that's no reason not to remove as many divides as we could.
