Last month we launched our first e-enduro the Decoy. Whatever your stance on e-mtbs we proved that they’re incredibly fun to ride and certainly not something to ignore. The Decoy opens up a new world of mountain biking, It allows you to go further and discover new trails that you would never have ridden before.

Join us below and see how Adolf Silva rides in this photo story shot by Ale Di Lullo, whilst filming with Rupert Walker.

Damn. I was going to try it till I read the warning at the bottom.

It's fine, just read it as though you shouldn't attempt to take pictures, so you're now ready to go for the double. Pity there will be no pictures to prove it though.

Lazy bastard. I'm only going to do backflips on an e-bike when I'm old and no longer able to do backflips like that on an unassisted bike.

I'm 98% in the "I don't want one" camp. The 2% creeps in whenever I ride at a local trail network that has a 4 mile long paved climb to get to the good stuff. On a good day I'll do three laps before I'm toast. But being able to cruise up with less effort gets me maybe 5 or 6 laps. That would be pretty awesome.

I'd say I was 99%"I don't want one" until recently. A random guy I was chatting to on the trails offered to swap bikes. I've gotta be honest, it was f#-*!Ng Rad. You can cover so much ground, get up to the top soo quick and do way more runs. It just made everything (apart from the downhill) more fun. I'm not an E-Bike fanboy, I'm not gonna buy one (can't afford it) and my friend's don't ride them so would probably be pissed with me. All I'm saying is, just try one before you slate them

still doesn't make me want one

great .... but with the battery inserted I see it quite hard ....
  • 1 2
I bet he did it without battery inside or with dummy pack (~3-4kg lighter bike).

@Demiourgos: Yup, there is no way you could double flip anything heavier than a regular mountain bike... Now, I'm off to watch some of this new sport 'Freestyle Moto-x' that I've started to hear about but never ever seen.

heavier is better on bigger jumps
  • 1 0
Hahaha yeah it must heavier than a motox bike ????????????

If I'm not mistaken, he also rides FMX, so I'd say he's pretty well accustomed to handling heavier bikes. Looks so sick!

He would doubleflip even on sheds door...

That bike looks sick. Want one

Will e-bikes look cool of a sudden just because it's being ridden by a freerider?
  • 5 3
No. Just because it's made by YT Smile
