Crankworx Whistler was a wild one: Ethan Nell, our latest addition to the YT Family, showed some huge tricks at the Whip-Off World Champs, even though he got hurt in a photo shooting the day before. And he was not the only one who got down...
Cam Zink announced his retirement from Slopestyle and did his last run at the Red Bull Joyride. But no matter what happened - the guys had Good Times in Canada.
I love the motto of YT, a lot of companies are just in it to sell and promote their brand. YT just wants to have fun and be known for having a good time. Keep it up Zink
I like Specialized's motto better, "I am Specialized". It really shows that they're not about selling bike and money and brand promotion and stuff, they're more about trying to make you more of a specialized person. Really touches the soul.
Sorry, but YT is not just in it to have fun and be known for having a good time. They are in it to sell and promote their brand. They can have fun while doing it, maybe, and they want to create a product that you will be happy with and enjoy, but in the end, they're a business. If they don't sell bikes, they're done, and there are no good times. That's the bottom line.
But I suppose a kudos is in order to their marketing team, which made you believe otherwise.
Ya you're right. They probably wouldn't even care if they made a profit this year. Heck they probably would love it if they took a loss..... as long as everyone is having fun......
Too true. How dare those other companies try make money. Disgraceful. Disgusting.
At YT instead of a financial spreadsheet with profits, they will have a a spreadsheet of fun levels per rider. Because thats all they want. Who needs profits when the fun spreadsheet shows fun levels through the roof?!
That's why they paid the fastest guy in the world, the most money of anyone (not to mention the top Rampage rider) - just to kick back, have a good time and not worry about winning.
I tol' y'all m'f*ckas. Zink's slope days long done. Reality finally set in, when you can't keep up, you can't keep up. It hap's to everyone. Except evidently Dennis McCoy & possibly RyNy slopestyle guy.
Zink was done like 5 years ago. He just either didn't realize it, or was too stubborn to accept it. Fest boi, it beckons.
That fall off the rock face was sucky, but you have to wonder about the whole scenario, he must have felt comfortable with it I guess, and it didn't work out. Ouch.

If the money runs out so does the fun.
