HangTight
The HangTight is a vertical hitch bike rack built for all bikes, all the time. It is designed to carry a broad range of bikes for whatever riding style interests you the most. Equipped to carry whichever bike you choose from your arsenal, making it perfect for anything from downhill shuttles to family road trips. StageTwo
The StageTwo ($749) is a hitch mounted bike rack that brings style and aesthetics to the forefront.  It’s pretty helpful for people like parents with e bike cruisers and arthritis. Although I’ll add, the ramp is 100% worthless if it’s on a truck or larger suv. The angle of approach is ridiculously to steep unless it’s on a sedan.

 @Howieday91: True. I suppose all one needs is the strength to lift it if it tips over. Also looking at the photos the second bike would have to tilted while loading to avoid the handle bars hitting each other, note the photo of the bike on the ramp being cropped....

 Which is good, because some of the people I know who ride E-bikes have genuine issues with their joints, yet the E-bike allows them to ride in areas where a regular bike would be too strenuous for them, so not having to struggle with lifting a heavy bicycle is beneficial for them.

 Not a bad idea, my 60 year old mom rides over 100 miles per month with my niece who can't ride a bike on her own. This would be great for transporting them when they go camping.

 @Bro-LanDog: It doesn't necessarily have to be the backcountry. My parents needed a rack to get their bikes around when they were older, but they weren't doing rooty singletrack. Getting to a fire road where you're still in phone range still requires a rack.

 Following on the heels of the NSR rip off they did last year ("HangOver" they called it). I'm guessing that means next year they'll give us their take on the Recon.

 @g-42: Yep, this is just a reaction to having to pay royalties to NSR for every HangOver they sold. So no royalties required anymore, but less people will buy them.

 I'm no authority on the matter, but I feel like the owner of Lolo was (or still is) a Yakima engineer. Hopefully he issued them a patent or something and is making some extra money to make more cool stuff since there hasn't been any public complaints about this from Lolo.

As someone that owned a Hangover and has used a Lolo, Yakima doesn't compare in terms of confidence inspiring anti-wobble or bike stability.

P.S. anyone want to buy a Hangover 4?

 There once was a day in the not so distant past when such a rack was $500. Alas, prices are climbing, won't be long before comparable racks will approach the 1K mark.

 You can get a 1Up heavy duty double for $150 less, which I would choose over this 100 out of 100 times. Yeesh.

 At least the StageTwo finally takes up to a 52" wheelbase. Still not buying it when there's the 1Up, but I guess it's nice they recognized the need. How many dollars per inch is that...?

 @ADGproductions: is Yakima thought of that highly? I know north shore has some recognition (less as that style becomes more common) and one up has some Lloyd but I think pretty poorly of yakima

 @jj12jj: I have not ever had any issues with my Yakima or Thule stuff. The amounts that they are asking though are crazy.

 @jj12jj: I've used various Yakima bike/ski/roof stuff over the past 25 years and I have to say it worked well and held up well. Everything is stupid expensive right now, not just Yakima, but I just picked up a used Yakima rack for a bit under half the price of new and it works perfectly. I think a lot of complaining comes from people buying a product that isn't quite right for their application then blaming the product.

 Dear PB, could you investigate why the hell we cannot get proper racks in EU? There are no racks with those tire clamps in EU, only stupid frame holders, which make you wonder for 30min how to mount 3 bikes, and this every time you mount a new unique combination of bikes.

 Still waiting on my warranty claims for Yakima DrTray2 and Yakima HangUp4 to be fulfilled by Rack Attack. What a joke. The HangUp is a flawed design and I'm hoping they send a retrofit kit for this as they've discontinued that model and clearly know that the design is flawed and people are putting their bikes on a ticking time bomb to drop your bike on the highway or forest service road. The DrTray2 developed cracking in the tray where the basket and arm attach from 2 seasons of use with normal trail bikes. Last time I reached out to Rack Attack asking for status after waiting the nearly 30 days they told me it would take, I got a snarky response that it hasn't been 30 days yet, sorry bud it was like 27 days, and now it's been well over 30 days since the original claim was filed and still no information, maybe they're just stonewalling me at this point. Never buying Yakima or shopping with Rack Attack again.

 I own a Yakima Fold Click 3. Very disappointed in the rack. It sags too much but what's worse is that often I cannot remove it from the tow ball requiring intervention to get it off. Also ridiculously hot halogen tail lights. Sits pretty much unused in storage.

 Yup, got my money back for my Hangover rack after it dropped my bike on the freeway due to the shitty design. Liked a few of its design features but it failed in the most basic of objectives!

 Yakima is absolute trash. I had three warranties on three different racks before I gave up on them and got a steel rack.

 @chacou: I posted a picture on Insta of the damage to the bike and specifically mentioned the rack, and a mate replied and tagged Yakima in. They contacted me and asked for more info, after a few conversations they refunded the purchase price and arranged to pick up the rack.

Contact their customer services and see how you go!

 Owner of a hangover, use it only when my camper is on my truck. Scored it used out of an REI garage sale. Having used many hanging style racks I think they all suck, but they work well with my camper so that’s that.

I do like the idea of hanging from the handle bar to avoid having the main support post at a ridiculous angle, looks like the same design with different hangers, wonder if I got rig them up to the old rack….

 Lolo will sell you the handlebar mounts if you wanted to swap them onto your current rack - I know people have swapped them onto North Shore racks. Super rad company and made in the US. I bought 8 of their hooks and had a buddy weld up an 8-bike hitch rack frame to bolt their hooks onto. Perfect shuttle rig.

 Velocirax are very secure and are a great value relative to the rest of the shuttle rack market, but it’s a bit of a pain in the ass to access the rubber straps when secured. My only criticism..

 I still surprised that rack companies to not have cameras on the bike racks that could be plugged into hitch, cmon, it is safety feature that is widely adopted, and will not cost a lot to add;

 SafetyMate is the best idea on this entire page, yet it too suffers from the bonkers pricing scheme at $219. Save yourself a heap of dough - there are $40 solutions on eBay that plug right into your trailer lighting setup.
