Santa Cruz bicycles and the Cedar City chapter of the Dixie Mountain bike trail association hosted a weekend of riding and building in Southern Utah. With the help from the Santa Cruz crew we were able to finish the newest trail I’m the Cedar City, Turnpike.
Lots of dirt and rocks were moved including many large boulders! Its all about teamwork on trail building days
The BLM office hosted a ribbon cutting at the Southview trailhead where many local riders showed up to show their support.
There was plenty of work that was accomplished thanks to the many volunteers that showed up.
The riders and builders from Santa Cruz were treated to riding on many of the local trails in Cedar as well as Brian Head mountain bike park.
Those who helped with the trail work in the mornings were treated to FREE shuttle rides in the afternoons. Here the riders are getting ready to drop on the famous C-trail that overlooks Cedar City, Utah.
The views in southern Utah aren't that bad!
There was plenty of work that was accomplished thanks to the many volunteers that showed up.
On Sunday riders and trail builders headed up the hill to Brian Head where they worked on the Marathon trail in the morning.
Brian Head Resort has invested tons of money into the bike park over the last two years and they have made some serious improvements to their park that all of the helpers got to enjoy after a morning of trail work.
We want to say thank you to all who came out to make this weekend such a great success!
There were so many involved who helped to make this all possible:
