Consumers Threaten to Boycott Backcountry.com as Retailer Sues Businesses for Using the Term ‘Backcountry’
I really don't know why you're all getting upset over this. There are boundaries in business. A company can't just open up a business and call it Specialized, for example. This company, Backcountry, has owned the trademark since 2007. How do you actually expect things to function practically in the real world? I'm not a republican or even a business owner, but come on, you guys are all rampant consumers, buying expensive bikes and parts from wealthy companies. And here you are, being a bunch of fucking hypocrites.

@jaame: Ok...I disappeared down a wormhole and found this article interesting, the info in the comments in particular. https://www.imtbtrails.com/forum/threads/tech-talk-kashima-coat.1492/

Review: Öhlins RXF36 M2 Trail Fork
@jaame: On that note, why are most stanchions black these days? Having returned to mountain biking relatively recently I can't understand why Titanium nitride stanchions aren't still common. Much sexier in my opinion. Is it simply fashion, or a performance advantage.

Specialized SX Trail Two II 2

$600 USD
Will consider trade for a decent hardtail, or Gibson SG or Fender Telecaster, or a decent tube amp. I brought this bike over from Australia. I bought it from a bike mechanic over there who had built it up himself and hardly ridden it. And now I have hardly ridden it (as in, I have used it very little, not "ridden it hard"). It's basically in near-new condition. The tree graphic has been removed from one chainstay. The fork has been recently serviced, and I will say that this model needs regular servicing. The effective top tube length with the fork at 160mm is around 22.5-23 inches. I am 5'9" and the bike is very comfortable to ride. Note: the braking setup is 'European', that is, left/rear, right/front. If you're planning on swapping it around you'd need to consider a cable swap, which requires a bleed and probably olives, etc. Note also: The one thing I can't tell you is the air content of the shock. There is no schrader in it due to the frame clearance. Note yet again: The saddle will not be shipped with bike. I'm sure you have your own favorite saddle to put on there. - Shimano SLX hydraulic discs - Shimano SLX drivetrain 2x9 - Shimano Hollowtech II crankset - Thompson Elite X4 stem - FRS PRO Riser 40 bar - Rockshox Lyrik 2-Step Air 115mm - 160mm - Fox DHX 5.0 with ProPedal, adjustable propedal, rebound, and bottom out - DaBomb Nuclear headset - Deore XT rims - Deore XT straight-pull hubs - Specialized 'The Captain' rubber with a decent amount of tread remaining - DMR V12 pedals
