Bought in 2020 and heavily upgraded (I can share photos of my build.. just ask), much of what you see on the bike now is unused / take off or has had very little mileage having been in storage. When I ran the bike, the only original part in use was the frame! Originally a Race DL model and as designated on the frame branding, with the extra 20mm travel up front the geometry is that of the slightly more aggressive CR/DL model. Run for 2 years this has been my XC bike and seen not much more than a fire road, but it’s been an absolute blast when things have narrowed and got a little steeper. Why am I selling? When replacing the bearings in August last year - yes, all frame bearings are spanking new! - I noticed a hairline crack on the rear triangle. Kona replaced this under warranty, but it took a few months to get sorted and I bought another bike in the meantime, transferring much of my components across. This bike has, ashamedly, been sat in my garage unridden since waiting for me to do build it back up fully. So, half the frame is as new, unridden! Size is XL, for reference I am 194cm. At my height bikes are always a compromise, so if you’re smaller than that you’ll have no problems at all. Late 5 footers upwards I'd say. Reach on this is fairly 'modern'. Prime bike for upgrading, or running as is.
