TREK SESSION 88 - 2009 Owned by mature rider (45) I have owned this bike since it was a year old and gave it a complete overhaul at the start of the year. The frame was stripped and powder coated New bearings fitted New rear mech / shifter and cassette It had a brand new seat stay at a cost of £250 from Trek TOTAL COST OF OVERHAUL £500+ Since then I have used bike twice as now favour my XC as getting a bit old to haul this monster around. The top tube has a couple of dinks on the side where the fork stantions have come round too far (fell off!!!!) The bike is in great condition for its age and is ready too go. The seat does not come with bike, but will be exchanged for one off my remedy. TREK SESSION 2009 SEAT STAY. I HAD COMPLETE FRAME STRIPPED FOR POWDER COATING AND FOUND A 5mm CRACK NEAR TO THE WELD. I HAD IT WELDED AT AN ALUMINIUM WELDERS FOR £40. AS YOU CAN SEE THEY HAVE PLATED THE AREA AND WELDED ALL THE WAY ROUND, WHICH WILL NOW BE STRONGER THAN BEFORE. I THEN HAD THE STAY POWDER COATED, THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO IS REMOVE THE POWDER COAT FROM WHERE THE BEARINGS ARE HOUSED. STANLEY KNIFE WORKS FINE AND A LIGHT RUB DOWN. BEFORE REBUILDING MANAGED TO GET ANOTHER ONE FROM TREK !!!! THESE STAYS ARE £250 NEW SO GRAB A BARGAIN PAYPAL FINE
