Hell yes, pivot has the best costum bikes every year, no changing my mind, every else’s bikes are cool but boring
  • 26 0
imagine turning up thinking you have the best Lightning McQueen themed bike in the paddock.... then Jenna rolls past.
  • 4 2
Also Lightning McQueen is number 95 not 97 real nice bike tho

That V10 looks horrendous... I find this particular red does not suit it at all

If only they'd spelt Les Gets correctly.
  • 5 0
@commental: Yeah that's a heck of disgrace seriously, couldn't they just checked it in google before painting ??
  • 9 0
Laurie has done his paint job in memory of his mum…I think they are Both sick and amazing in their own unique ways!

@elhombrelasse: Laurie was born in 97, I’m guessing this was the rational.

@elhombrelasse: Laurie was born in 97, I’m guessing that was the rationale.

@commental: I do wonder if thats a play on words like 'Lets Get World Champs..' I mean its not like Les Gets is rarely heard of place.
  • 1 0
@spudmaster: Could be, seems a bit of a howler otherwise.
  • 1 0
@Aksel31: Dinoco blue be more your style?

@spudmaster: No T in Les though.

@commental: yeah i know, thats the play on words part....? who knows
  • 1 0
@Aksel31: Maybe not but Fat Creations painted the bikes, they are UK based and paint many pro bikes so surely they know Les Gets
  • 2 0
@elhombrelasse: I assume that's cos Laurie was born in 1997. Jenna was born in 2004...god I feel old.

Trek has some killer painters on staff.
  • 7 0
@leviatanouroboro: absolutely. these guys know what's up.
  • 4 0
And Vergier has an interesting rear end. New for Worlds or did he ride it previously?
  • 3 0
@EnduroManiac: Came here to find out that very thing. I am curious if that is the 2023 model but I think it would be addressed in the future
  • 1 0
@EnduroManiac: he had it previously but it looks like they put a fancy idler on for the world champs bike
  • 3 0
I’m no Canadian, but Kuhn’s session takes first prize among these bikes.
  • 2 0
Trek is also the only big brand to offer something similar to their customers with project one effect colors. While others sell their 12000$ bikes in algae und sand "design" (looking at you Santa Cruz).
  • 2 0
@EnduroManiac: So Loris Vergier "has an interesting rear end"? What a weird thing to notice. It's ok bro, we don't judge.
  • 1 0
@Muscovir: i remember rob warner talking about camille balance's bottom (section) for at least a whole minute on the livestream, how it looked really good and she pretty much nailed it... i found that really awkward already.

@hamncheez: nar, its that hes just honest about it. plenty of world cup DH frames crack, they just dont post openly on social media.
  • 14 0
He's got the Emperor's paint job. You can only see it if you are a good enough rider. I think the colours look amazing.
  • 7 3
@scantregard: like the Commencals which have even got cracks in the paint job...
  • 1 2
@bigtim: what pills did you take?
  • 1 0
@hamncheez: It's just part of the development process if it does.
  • 1 0
I like those Renthal grips on Loic’s bike…
  • 1 2
 @scantregard: Commencal *cough* *cough*
  • 2 0
@scantregard: an amateur racer I know even said its normal for commencal bikes (or at least the Supreme) to crack at different places within a single year. That's an anectode from him and a couple of his friends.. They still ride those frames because they are so good, and the guarantee handles the rest.

Can't tell if sarcastic.
  • 3 0
They all came together to split the price of the paint for the linkage
  • 24 1
I trust Pivot engineering is better than their spelling. Someone had one job to do before they spent thousands on a paint job that can’t even spell the location.
  • 3 2
Pivot didn't do the design or paint job
  • 1 0
@calumjsmith: Do you have inside info? BK thanked the Pivot office for getting the designs done in time, so that was the assumption. Isn't it spelt differently on Meesta Ed's and Jenna's? At first I thought it might be a joke, but now I'm not so sure.
  • 2 0
@thingswelike: just watch his video and you'll see that Fat Creations did it.
  • 1 1
@calumjsmith: Yeah I know they painted it, but they might not have done the logos, etc.
  • 1 0
@calumjsmith: well there you go. Had to unfollow him as his atrocious spelling was hard to stomach.
  • 20 0
The designers at Cube should do an internship at Trek, Pivot, or pretty much any other bike brand listed here. That things ugly and blue shifter cable is the pinnacle of a bad idea visually.
  • 17 3
Give them a break, they are Germans afterall...
  • 17 0
Mainly because they actually considered the forks as well... Bruni... killer. All around killer. Tahnee. Fork looks rad in chrome. Very T-Mac esk Angels Commencal is sick. A little more attention on the fork would have set it off but that bike is clean.
  • 17 0

YT might be a little boring with their paint jobs but I do think they are the classiest and I like the consistency and flag integration.
  • 2 0
I agree with everything you say except one thing — I don’t think they’re boring at all.
  • 8 0
Those are all pretty amazing. That silver ice effect on Bruni's bike is so cool...I want to learn how to do paint effects like those haha. Well done to all the artists!
  • 5 0
Currently working at a Trek shop to help pay for college. Apparently the Trek paint jobs take a ridiculous amount of time and there's only a few people certified to do them, especially the on Vergier's bike. Had one come in the other day, and it's mesmerizing to see in person.

Anyone else couldn't care less about custom paint jobs? Probably just me. I find it so dull that every year every rider has a custom painted bike for world's, as if it's something special. Neko wins best paint job this year, by a mile, to me.
  • 6 2

so busy that he did not have time to finish writing the location on Jenna Hastings pivot!
Hopefully BK's bike will turn up on time - this year his motorsport theme appears to be the martini racing colours if the hints are anything to go by (watch his latest vlog - he shows the decals in the FC shop but then talks in Les Gets about shipping delays for his and Eddie's frames which they are blaming on Wynn)
