Huge congrats to Rissveds for making it back to the podium after much-needed time away. An inspiration to all of us who are doing our best to balance real life with our hobby/passion/sport.

For real. I'm so happy for her.

 Jenny is cool.

She's been on the podium a bunch this season. Second in the overalls.
  • 7 0
She won a WC XC a couple of years ago after her return. Less of a comeback now and more of a continued display of excellence.

You're dwelling on Her past, She's been back at competition and achieving success for quite some time now. Get over it!

Nothing wrong with recognizing the challenges she faced (which have driven many racers away from the sport) and her finding the balance she needed to continue happily.

Blevins! Showing it was not a fluke.

Crazy that Catherine Pendral is still a consistent top-20 rider in her early 40s. Meanwhile it’s tough to say but Em Batty’s second year near the back of the pack is starting not to look like a fluke….just strange that she went from consistent top-8 rider to bottom-20 in the span of a single offseason while still in the middle of her prime. No idea if injuries caught up to her but I hope she’s staying positive and still enjoying what she does!

Wasn't Jolanda listed as injured on the fantasy league list?
  • 2 0
Well she doesn't have a functional spleen any more, so maybe that counts as a permanent injury.
  • 1 0
@insertfunusername: she does, it has healed
  • 2 0
@mtbcrosscountry-com: I didn't actually know that, I remember reading that in the initial operation that they had cut off all blood supply to stop the internal bleeding and so her spleen was dead. That is really great that something was done to restore functionality of her spleen.

RW- “west coast of the USA”? Is weed legal in Vermont?
  • 2 0
Lol, probably... Though they are in West Virginia.

Just watched the replay. I know XCC needs to be fast paced but the course was so disappointing.

 Carry on, Snorts!

It was a pretty nasty crash, too.
  • 3 0
Yeah, she ran right up Rebecca's forth point of contact. Almost took out Linda Indergand too.
  • 4 0
@Augustus-G: 'fourth point of contact'. Learn something new every day. Ta.
  • 1 0
@Augustus-G: wouldn’t that be the fifth point of contact? I didn’t see the race, but I assume you’re talking about daButt. (Lh, rh, Lf,rf,bum?)
  • 3 0
@spankthewan: It's your fourth POC and yes it's your bum, it's an "Airborne" thing. Wink

 Gooooooooo Victor Koretzky!!!!!!!!!!!
  • 2 2
Do i understand this right? Evie would have placed 5th in men's category??
  • 6 0
No, the women did one less lap than the men. Seeing as she was doing a bit over 3 minutes per lap for 7 laps that would make her 8 lap time over 25 minutes. About a minute and a half behind the last pace man's time.
  • 1 0
they didn't do the same number of laps.
