 Yes generally mtbr’s are bigger pussies than bmx’ers on a whole but the reason bmx’ers don’t wear helmets is because they’re hot, uncomfortable and move around loads you can’t buy the helmets we have that are so light and well ventilated that you forget you’ve got it on. Obviously you have riders that won’t ride without a helmet but most will only put one on when the situation calls for it. I don’t know why mountain bikers are so obsessed with helmets, people go rock climbing without a rope or diving without air tanks, travis pastrana even jumped out of a plane without a parachute and they don’t care. Why have they decided to go all Karen about bmx?

 @k333martin: I am for the use of the helmet..but I disagree on the disqualification. The rules are made before a competition. If the use of the helmet was not mandatory, you cannot disqualify them retroactively. You can ask for it to be introduced as a rule for next year..
