Scott and I decided to head out to Canmore, AB to conclude if big mountain riding could be a thing just an hour outside of Calgary. What we found was enticing, and made us come back for more.
things I love about this- -Norco bikes - Alberta -Honesty (putting the crash in there...which is the humility and respect for the big mountain/high risk factor)
Totally agree but duuuuuudddde. I could have told you that was going to happen. You had what... a 100 foot straight down balls out drop coming to a 90 degree angle, 3 foot landing of loose as hell shale crap and then road? Ouch.
@HerrDoctorSloth: Your eyes aren't shot, but if you would quit shroom picking every time you ride, then you probably wouldn't have that problem. Also, your a sloth, so don't grab the wrong stuff!
yeah razor's edge is my favourite trail. it was a bit more gnarly when it was more raw - now it's bedding in and there has been some rerouting on the rock section (shown in some shots) that have decreased the tech factor, but still quality trail...
Road jump was at Three Sisters Parkway, just below Peaks of Grassi. Extended rock slab to crash was rock cut on 1A near Lafarge plant in Exshaw - and it HAS been ridden successfully, long ago!
jean guy on the rocks at moose.
This video is gnarly and doesn't do most of the trails justice to how steep and technical they actually are. Shale rock destroys bikes and bodies
I've just been scanning the comments and was about to be the woman and ask if he (you) were ok... that looked brutal AF! Stoked to hear you survived. Good work on the vid too man- thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice job bro.
That crash wouldn't have happened with a "transition"...
anyway props for the rider i hope he is ok, the trails look so gnar and awesome i would love to try... lovely free ride
Liked the rest of it though, even if almost none of it is in Canmore.
I hope he's OK.
