Video: Thibaut Ruffin's 'Another Level' is a Fat Bike Edit Worth Watching

 If you've never tried winter fatbiking you can't hate on it... its pretty incredible and we ride almost as hard in the winter as we do in the other 3 seasons! When the conditions are just right it's pretty incredible... makes you feel like you were 14 again!

 Fat biking isn't dead. A few communities are even snowshoe grooming jump lines.

 All the major singletrack networks in VT are groomed now. Snow dogs FTW. Dad life win too. Can get an hour of outside time in instead of a full or half ski day.

 Did this yesterday on a couple of laps down the back side of prairie view and jewel pass - inside foot out, a little bit of rear brake and driftin' through the corners at speed. Once you get the hang of it and traction is right, the rip is just as much fun as a summer high speed run.

 Cool edit. It's been a great fatbiking season in the NE USA this year. But "Thibaut Ruffin picks up some impressive speed through the deep snow"? Those look like groomed trails to me.

 Now let's see the outtakes where he gets 1 mm outside of the packed line and face plants in the snow a million times. Fat biking is so much fun!!! Like everyone says, you're always on the edge of control.

I have tried one once, and was impressed by the floatation, but wasn’t really that thrilled. This winter however, with everything else being shut down due to COVID, has left me feeling so stir crazy, I’d love to have a fat bike just to go for a slow steady crawl through the woods on a nice winter day. I think the best though, wood be lift access, really long, easy downhill trails for fatbiking. If ski resorts cut some trails like that and ran them along side the ski season, it would be awesome!

 Great video. Winters are long here and fat biking has grown tremendously in the last 3-4 years. It helps that we have dedicated trails just for FBing. It's a different type of riding than mountain biking which is hard to explain to non FB riders. It sure beats staying indoors and doing nothing.

 Looks like a typical fat bike day in the Rockies. I like how they used clip edits and tunes to make it look exciting and fast. Was that at 1.25x speed. Haha. I love fat biking but it ain’t sexy, unless you have an edit team and a plaid shacket.

 Where I live the already impressive trail system nearly doubles in mileage because of the winter only single track created each year. It’s a Mecca. I don’t know what I would do without a fat bike.

 It really is my favorite biking season, and the local cycling community really bands together to set the trail up...I wish we had that many people volunteer in the summer...Heck and who says these things are slow When the conditions are right I can PR in the winter, while having fun drifting the corners.

 Good to see this. So many still think the fatty is slowly riding boring as hell roads and nothing else. Here in SLC, we have dedicated teams snowshoeing some really interesting stuff after every storm.

 Yeah... if everyone rode like that on groomed trails we’d need to rework the trails every hour... Just so you know, this edit is not a picture of reality. He probably crashed many times riding at those speeds. No matter what skills you have or tires you just can’t fight the wobbly physics of snow cover.

 Very nice riding Thibault, nice editing and the trails are amazing at SDM. My only critic is the music does not fit the vibe of the video.

 I picked one up last winter, glad I did because there is not one to be had this season. Thanks Covid.

I will say I am having more fun than I ever thought I would. More of winter training and better than being on a trainer or a treadmill.

- they look like crap
- they ride like crap
- they turn like crap (afraid I will develop bad habits)

My local trails are in great shape, some are machine groomed, others are rider groomed.
With that said, I cannot wait to get back on my 160mm bike and hit dirt, rocks and roots.

 Ah fat biking is so much fun. I wish we had a few trails around here that we could ride like that.

 Sure keep showing these awesome trails while were still not allowed to visit. At least our annual reservations have been allowed for a future date when the world ever gets back to normal. BTW those cabins going up to wolverine are beautiful. So Jealous!

 I live in a lake community so if the snow is deep elsewhere, I can usually ride the frozen lake for fitness. Beats cycling indoors

 I HEART my fatbike, I just don't ride mine in the snow though. I do 50-60 mile gravel rides on it also lol. My riding buddies think I'm nuts. Those who have one know once you up the pressure they roll along.
