The UCI Responds to Questions Over Brook Macdonald Evacuation Delays
@BigAlfonz: That's my question though - why did they not move him? and if they were going to move him (which it sounds like they had to anyway when the helicopter couldnt land right by them) why not just take him all the way to an access road and into an ambulance? (which is the procedure your average park goer would get?).

But that heli crew are for non-life threatening situations (i.e. not time sensitive) and it was a stat holiday weekend in Canada - the crew were on stand-by at home would be my guess. The military would have been there in minutes but they only come for life threatening. They should have had a dedicated helicopter for the event, instead of relying on the regular provincial emergency services. I don't think you can blame the helicopter crew. Given the extended wait, I do wonder what the objections to using the quad/stokes basket are? If you are a regular joe at the park and you crash, you will be getting a stokes and not a helicopter.

Video: Friday Fails #85
The camera angle at 2:49 makes it look like he's going uphill to start with. It's only when he gets sliding that my brain figured it out.

Review: Hope's Race Evo E4 Disc Brakes are Beautifully Made, with Lovely Modulation
@downhillnews: same experience, never had any issues with hope power. actually seek out hope brakes when others prove to be lacking power.

I am riding a set of M4's that are going on 8yr old now. My experience does not match yours. I can honestly say they are the most powerful brakes I have owned. I had a set of X2's for a time which were a close second. This is comparing to: SLX, Guide R, Guide RSC, Level T and XT.

Santa Cruz Bronson V.1 Medium w/Fox Fork and Shock

$1350 CAD
Reluctantly selling my Aluminium Bronson. Included is: Frame, fork (Fox 34 Float Evolution 150mm), shock (Fox Float CTD kashima Factory), cane creek 40 headset, shimano saint BB, through axles for frame and fork She has been a great bike, all the reviews about it are true. There is a reason this bike became so popular. It's seen around 1000km of mostly trail riding (three stage, if you know the area) over the last 3 seasons. It's got the wear and tear you would expect - cable rub and scratches - but it is all superficial. There are no dents or cracks. Price is negotiable. Local pick up only.
