Ever since Kevin Robinson landed his first double flair in X-Games Vert finals back in 2006 the trick has been sort of a holy grail of quarter pipe tricks in the BMX scene. It took many years before other riders started learning the trick and to the date there are still only a few riders who have done it successfully.

Back in very early 2014 I was playing around on my local foampit with small quarter pipes on the side of it. Mainly as a joke I tried the double flair there and four tries later it pretty much developed from a joke to a serious idea of really bringing it to dirt at some point. One year later it happened finally in Mustavuori trails in Tampere, Finland where we built a massive quarter pipe and landing and I committed myself to try it to dirt with only one goal in his mind, landing the trick this time!
