Five Ten Launches 2021 Apparel Range Featuring Recycled Materials - Pond Beaver 2021
@see-the-world: yeah but it’s probably because these athletes are all over the world, and it’s much more simple and cheaper to get models nearer to their “headquarters”

@friendlyfoe: do you not realise that the male is Danny macaskill, and the female is Veronique Sandler? It’s not about good looks it’s simply because they are both sponsored by FiveTen, and the whole point is that if they ride for them then it acts as an influence to other people

Mountain Biking in Scotland Receives £24 Million Investment for Trails, a Bike Park, and an Innovation Centre
Genuinely think if this money is used wisely and is backed by the Scottish riders, Scotland could really become one of the best biking locations to come to in the world. Bold statement but I reckon it really could be

British Cycling Announces its Plan for Future Event Restrictions
@fatduke: yeah it’s good for us but must feel shit for you guys. Shame you have boris at the wheel, Nicolas Sturgeon has been doing quite a good job in my opinion. All the best

Video: Brendan Fairclough is Joined by Sam Pilgrim as They Try to Ride Over his House
@fatduke: I mean quite frankly I couldn't care less if their pro or not. Personally I can't stand Pilgrim. I just find it very annoying that he travels that far to ride on a roof whilst I'm stuck in my own local region, and have been for the past 3 and a half months, riding the same trails over and over again.

@gnarlysipes: basically, pilgrim has driven 100 miles to ride over a roof when your only supposed to be staying in your local region/council area. The rules are that you shouldn’t be travelling that far or leaving your area for recreation.

The 2020 Pinkbike Photo of the Year Winner is...
Is their a certain way these should be judged? A lot of unhappy people in the comments but I don't really see whats so bad? Personally I wouldn't say its bad nor would I say its easily the best. Its a sick picture is it not? A somewhat technical looking trail with a crazy nice view behind it. Should the winner be picked on how stylish the rider is looking, the trick the rider may be doing, the gnarliness of the trail the rider may be riding, the surrounding nature? Its pretty confusing on how they should actually be judged or picked. Maybe in the future they should leave it down to professional riders or photographers who don't photograph mountain biking. That way it would maybe come out based on mountain biking and not scenery? All in all I still think that picture looks insane, but I do see how some viewers would rather the winner be a picture where the riders skill level, and the photographers skill level is really being advertised to the voters.

@babathehutt: not really the point. Its the fact that Pilgrim drove almost 100 miles to film a youtube video when it is being said to stay in your own region. Yes he is a massive youtuber who makes children friendly videos, but for a lot of people throughout the UK, especially here in Scotland, no one has left their local region to ride bikes and are being forced to ride locally. For myself it is ok as I have enough on offer to ride, but for people in built up cities and very rural countryside areas they have no where to go or ride because they have no facilities for them. I don't think Pilgrim really needs to drive for about 2 hours just to ride on a roof? He seemed to be able to make crazy videos from his own home before Covid, so why doesn't he do that? Surely a massive influencer like him should be setting a proud example to the millions of younger kids that watch his videos everyday and look up to him?
