Press Release: Ard Rock

Ard Rock 23 will take place from 21st-23rd July, and entries go live on Tuesday 15th November at 0630. Riders can expect an action-filled weekend of racing and riding on epic terrain, live music, good vibes and a genuine celebration of all things mountain biking.

This year's Ard Rock saw the event back in full swing and better than ever. Thousands of competitors took to the hills around Swaledale in North Yorkshire with brand-new stages and an event village packed with the industry's biggest and most prestigious brands.

From the four-stage Intro event, aimed at first-time Ard Rock riders, to the 45km Enduro that hosts some of the world's best, there are options for all abilities at Ard Rock. Here's Santa Cruz rider Romain Paulhan from France dropping into a steep turn in the depths of the rugged Yorkshire Dales.

Ard Rock takes in some big terrain, and the stages are a mix of natural trails, steep tech and roller coaster flow.

Hundreds of people gather in Heckler's woods to cheer on riders and dish out banter. The silent cheering in 2022 was a highlight.

The event village is the hub for the weekend, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as pump track racing, airbag sessions and kids coaching.

After a big day, riders gather to relax, reminisce and tell stories about their Ard Rock experience.

I look forward to getting the all tickets sold message at 6:30.01 on Tuesday morning... at least I won't be able to land in an ambulance again.

I attended 2016 then spent three years failing to get a ticket and have now given up for good. I'd rather they did balloted tickets with only two per person

Doesn't seem like a big contest with 23 entries

 £80+ Race fees, £20 for a T-shirt & £10 a beer.
Seems reasonable

 £95 for the main event.

If it is half as good as this year, it will be worth it. Proper day out on the bike

Went last year and it was good fun. Whole day on the bike plus a few hours the day before spectating. All good fun. Partner enjoyed the atmosphere too. Good value. Look at the cost of Malverns for what you get there!
