by Aspect Media

This time the guys head off to the Coast Gravity Park to sample some loam and jumps, then they head back to the bike park in Whistler and try out some of the old classics with the lads. Whistler is the Mecca of mountain biking and it's iconic lines are instantly recognizable even if you haven't been there, so enjoy Whistler and BC in all its mountain bike glory.

CGP is amazing, missing it badly now Frown
Great trails, great burgers and also importantly great people, probably THE friendliest place we rode in BC. If you get the opportunity, go there. No discussion, get your ass there.

Would you go there instead of Whistler, if you had just five days to fill?

Yes. hands down the best vibe and best trails.

5 days plenty of time for both...two completely different experiences

Whelp just watched the video after that last post...what he said

CGP is really awesome and flowy, although they are limited on the amount of trails they have.

5 days is enough to do both. It's not long enough to cover everything at Whistler but I think 5 days would be too long at CGP. From the sounds of it when we were there they have plans to expand CGP the future.

Awesome video! Man that park looks awesome...can't wait to get there. Just to clarify though, as they do not really do so in the video, that this park is not in Whistler. This park is on the Sunshine Coast so you need to take a ferry there from North Vancouver. The ferry is about 40 mins and then you have to drive a bit on the sunshine coast to get to CGP. So if you are in Whistler you need to give yourself time to drive back down to North Van and catch a ferry (check BC ferries schedule, or you might have to wait for the next boat). I am saying all this with Peace and Love and not meaning for anyone to not go, just make sure you get all the times right.

The other cool thing is that CPG says they are going to be open all winter...so..you can board or ski up in Whistler and then work your way down and across to the bike park and have a real epic West Coast adventure vacation.

Been hearing A LOT of good things about CGP

Does CGP actually compete with Whistler? I'm not purely looking for a jump park, and had a blast a whistler for the first time earlier this year, but would have been bummed if there weren't also good gnar trails like goats gully/fatcrobat/schleyer/clown shoes/tons of others up on Garbo.

CGP looks like a dialed slope style park, but doesnt seem to have any good DH trails...am I wrong? Only ever seen videos that are purely slopestyle

CGP has some great loamy "tech" trails, but they're still fairly smooth and fast. No really gnarly tech like some trails at whistler.
