It has a U brake in the rear and V in the front, but levers are from u brake so front brake is kinda weak I presume.

Trek Session 9.9 DH 27.5 - Review
Inconsistency, it's a new trend in brake business, Sram got it mainstream. So now Shimanos got on board :D It's amaze me how top tier brakes are this days, even if you waste a lot of money on them, they can still be bad.

@WAKIdesigns: but they pretty oO and actually strong, also all the problems you mentioned are present with brass nippels :D just wash and service your bike more often...
