It had been a long time since returning to Duthie Hill so I figured I would bring my GoPro and take a stab at making a video, something I have always wanted to do.
I started out casually hiking, riding and moving the camera with each new run. By about the 5th full run I was starting to feel the effects of being off the bike for so long. Having not made a self recorded video before I was not prepared for all the extra laps. A few weary seconds of fighting to keep my lunch down passed and the cramps subsided, it was time get moving before my legs became bricks. Each non POV shot was a new run top to bottom, I did this for no reason other than I could not get enough of this trail.
Unfortunately there are not any large jumps on this trail but has some really fun and technical corners that at high speeds get nice and slippy. I hoped to let the story of the trail and the music engage the viewer rather than action packed jumps, I mean this is a XC trail after all.
This was also my first time using Final Cut X and Illustrator for the fancy Pivot logo, I felt the video needed some sort of added effect. The music and trail opened for a few seconds to input the shuttering title.
Feedback welcomed!
