Press Release: TransAtllantis

This year organization was forced to cancel due to a strong probability of a volcano eruption but TransAtllantis is back for 2023. Unlike the first edition, where due to covid restrictions consequences, the race was forced to restrict itself to the main island of São Miguel, now the race will be back to the original concept of a multi-island enduro adventure. So from 4 to 9 of September 2023, riders will embark on a journey across 4 islands, between 4 to 6 stages a day through ancient trails, purposely built trails, farmers trails, volcano landscapes and many more...

Arrival and departure to the Azores will be on the Terceira island, home of the Angra do Heroismo city, the first city of the Azores, now classified as UNESCO World Heritage and home to the NATO airbase. Riders should book their flights to the Internacional Airport of Lajes (TER). Direct flights to the Azores are available from North America (Boston, New York, Toronto) and from Europe (Lisbon, Oporto, London, Manchester, Frankfurt, and others).
