11 Bike Checks From the 2019 Megavalanche
@mirskeinereingefalln: Yea im just curious, it's a bit hard to tell from the pic's. Im not sure why it wasn't mentioned even if it was just to increase stack..? Also the stack number is already relatively high at 644mm in large so to me it would make more sense for it to be an angle set and raising the front end makes the slack seat tube angle even worse, even the pic's seem to avoid that area of the bike. I noticed it on some other team bikes so maybe it's possibly an issue? I have the old strive and found headtube angle to steep so I put in an angle set and went up to 170mm fork. I was interested in new strive but was surprised to see the conservative geo numbers especially given the bikes intentions and with the shapeshifter to counteract it for climbing.

Ask Pinkbike: Full Suspension or Hardtail, Super Short Stems, and Flat Pedal Picks
DMR vaults have been really good only issue I've noticed after going back to flats from dh mallets is the large round tread pattern on my 510's sometimes puts my foot in an awkward position n because they're so grippy it can be tricky to get it back to where I want it. Probably just need to get used to it more but i thought the 510 'contacts' with the smooth section might be the way to go.. Anyone else hav that problem..? Also got a pair a catalyst pedals coming, I liked the idea of more underfoot support with the longer platform- ill try anything twice!

Lay of the Land: Riding Sydney's Northern Beaches - Video
Yea sounds like this problem of uneducated land managers and council's is nation wide, I'm in Perth and have spent the winter building. The ranger has just posted signs saying the trail will be closed and rehabilitated. So its fine for them to plough through the bush with a front end loader and their 4wds..? The area is riddled with the tree disease 'die back' and introduced species of weeds n vines that strangle the native bush, (that I've been removing) and they hav been there for many years before anyone started riding mtbs there. Apparently they find the trails on strava which is why I never use it.
