Press Release: Bluegrass

Rogue [roʊg], adjective: A characteristic of a mountain biker, to seek for unexpected lines and trails. Recognised for their impeccable taste, they have an exquisite bike and distinctive kit. Setting new trends is a given.

 maddogboris

We all try to escape the ordinary, to do something different, follow our own path and explore new lines. What’s better than a mountain bike to do so? Isn’t it the spice of two-wheels? What makes all of our ride stories so great during the post ride beer – the lines taken, the choices made, sometimes falling can’t be avoided…

So, why do we always find ourselves settling for the ordinary and the easy?

Ordinary trails, lines, and kit - don’t let the ordinary get in the way, just because the straightest path is sometimes the easiest, it definitely doesn’t mean it’s the most fun!

At Bluegrass, we always try to think outside the box. The new Bluegrass Rogue Core Mips inherits its name from our relentless will of doing things our own way. Pioneers of the Enduro world with the famous Bluegrass Enduro Tour, we understand what being Rogue on the trail means.

Our new Bluegrass Rogue Core Mips is packed with cutting-edge features. Designed with the speed of our pro riders in mind, the all-new Bluegrass Rogue Core Mips is sharp, bold and alternative. It’s all we need to ride fast and go our own way!

Flexible visor.

The Rogue Core Mips properly protects the most sensitive head areas, the back and the temples. The visor has been designed to enhance the safety of the Bluegrass Rogue Core Mips, as well as protecting from branches, it is flexible injected to adapt to the shell of the helmet in a crash. This unique feature helps to manage extra rotational forces transferred to your neck.

Bluegrass Rogue Core Mips
Fit system.

The Rogue Core Mips exceeds all the worldwide certifications and performs best at both linear and rotational impact thanks to its meticulously engineered EPS shell and the MIPS-C2® brain protection system attached inside the helmet. The fit is unparalleled and thanks to its new Safe-T Heta retention system the helmet is stable on the head. The 360° head belt ensures that there are no pressure points on the skull and its easy to use vertical adjustment leaves you with an individual fit.

Magnetic Fidlock buckle

A constant airflow on your head is ensured by the internal air channeling system, and 16 inlet and exhaust vents. Under the visor we strategically placed two vents to avoid fog in sunglasses or goggles and to keep the front pad dry during the ride. The straps anchors are embedded into the EPS and you can quickly fasten them thanks to the Fidlock® magnetic buckle, even while wearing your gloves.

 Bluegrass, huh?
You’ve probably never even been to Kentucky. I’d like to file one claim of cultural appropriation against the internet please.

I typed something, spit my milk laughing, realized the world of superhuman superhero defense mechanism triggered defenders of the internet would rush to it's aid to protect against the butt hurt I typed....and deleted.

But rest assured, my addition to your sarcasm...oh it was funny. Beer

 @kleinblake: Aww thanks Captain Bro.
Thanks for the "Bro".

"No one likes you bro"...I picture you being that dude at that party at that house that you came to and shoved your way inside wearing your sleeveless flannel, a little gel in your freshly trimmed frat hair, maybe a PBR in your mitt and a pair of untied Doc Martin black boots & you're throwing fist bumps to all the bros, maybe a "whoohoo" to your favorite song?

@blowmyfuse: don’t cut yourself on all that edge

@kleinblake: I just love all your slang. I'm learning so much SoCal-ifornian lingo. "Don't cut yourself on all that edge."
Who talks like that? Are you that guy in the meme wearing a tan flat bill?
Let's dance!

I like the look of that helmet, & seems to tick the right boxes. Not too sure that wedging the arms loosely into air vents can be classed as 'sunglasses compatible' though!
  • 14 1
Enduro? Hmmm. But is it eMTB compatible?
  • 8 1
Probably not.. couldn't possibly sell the analog helmet to the engine crowd.....
  • 5 0
Nah, but aldi is selling ebike helmets in Germany this week with build on rear light, brake light and indicators. So off you're interested... Like the looks of these. Hate the lyrics of this marketing song.

 But is it eMTB S P E C I F I C?

@danimaniac: is there a power cable to plug the helmet into the bike battery? That's true e-integration

 @subwaypanda: www.aldi-sued.de/de/p.bikemate-e-bike-helm.490000000000801462.html

is there a way to use the E-Bike as a powerbank? Than yes.
Works with BOSCH motors, you can actually plug a USB cable to the bike and charge any device Big Grin

What exactly is "the spice of two wheels?" Can I use it on tacos?

it's the smell that comes from my tires when they're unseated after leaving the sealant in for too long

Isn't open face enduro helmet an oxymoron for most enduro series?
  • 6 0
I just started wearing a full face helmet for everyday riding, so it’s surprising that any enduro racer would wear a half lid.

I see this as a marketing ploy, nothing new.
  • 8 0
The Dental-Industrial Complex has been pushing the half-shell narrative for decades.
  • 7 0
Why is the logo longer than the visor
  • 3 0
So that when you crack it a season later and can only buy a non-logo replacement visor your helmet says "egrass" and you're forced to smoke weed, get munchies, get fat and only ride an e-bike Smile
  • 7 1
Nice to know the back of my head is well protected when I smash face first into a rock.
  • 7 1
I like it.... But that’s some seriously thick propaganda
  • 2 0
As you may know, hype is an engine of commerce in the mtb world, and it is built on many layers of older hype for it's foundations. Like lies that spring from previous lies, the more you build the hype upward, the more that many folks start to accept it. Hook, line, and wallet.

@RayDolor: I flipped through an MTB mag from 1997 yesterday. Pretty sure we need to move back to elastomer suspension.
  • 4 0
No E-MTB compatibility!. No thank you.
  • 2 0
When are mountain bike helmets gong to stay coming with the cool aero visors like some roadie helmets do? They say in the marketing that setting trends is a given.
  • 6 2
god that is one fuck ugly helmet
  • 2 0
No industrial designers were bothered in the creation of this lid. Strictly engineers using AutoCAD.
  • 3 0
Why don't they put that sweet logo on the other side of the helmet visor too??....oh wait
  • 1 0
What makes it an "enduro" helmet and not just a trail helmet?

Most enduro races worth their salt require full face right?? Outside of the race format you're just trail riding...
  • 1 0
I'm keen to get one of these! Looks cool to me and I feel safe with their technology. The red model must be the fastest one, eh?
  • 2 0
here for the sick riding photos. what is that silver bike?
  • 2 0
Damn, I'm just a trail rider.... Gotta keep on looking.
  • 2 0
Can you use this for XC?
  • 4 0
Don't be ridiculous, can't you see this is a enduro helmet?
Now seriously, it's a bit of a heavy side for XC,but you shouldn't notice it too much.
  • 1 0
Looks like a Smith. Costs just as much too.
  • 1 0
I would buy it for the price of a Smith. Paid 60€ for my Session helmet in sale.
  • 1 0
 Wagon wheels only
  • 1 1
 looks hot
  • 1 4
Another helmet that only comes in childrens sizes. At least Giro and Smith have adult sizes for open face helmets.
